Bagpipes are the instrument of manly man.
Just don't play it indoors, please.

they would have to be my fav irish band other than U2
Well, there's this northern spanish backpipe player who's really famous. His name's Hevia and has alot of celtic influences in his music, very good musician.
If you want some stuff, AIM me
Mike Dragon - Infinity 2001 (Fridge vs Vectrex Remix) is superb, a really uplifting trance tune with bagpipes in it, works VERY well indeed!
Scooter did a bunch of songs with bagpipes in it back in the day
check out their "Wicked" album
Scooter - I'm Raving has bagpipes in it, some others too
There's a nice celtic fiddle on Celtic Cross - Darshannon. It's kind of psy-trance. Found it on a six degrees comp, it's very nice.
Irish/Celtic Trance you say?

This seriously is like the best "trance with different instruments" song EVAR. I love it. Great melodies.
Yes, I'm obsessed.
Chicane - Saltwater
BTW, have you heard of Italian bagpipes? They are less annoying than their Scottish cousins. They're most like clarinets or saxophones.
I thought the bagpipe was scottish?
Don't no if this is what you're looking for but a couple of song from Loreena mckennit have an irish influence, especcialy "Loreena mckennit- Bonny portmore"
I think 29 Palms has a couple songs or remixes that have bagpipes in it. Don't know the names right off hand though.
Anyone know where I can get some piper's laments? This is lone pipers playing. Preferably irish pipes. I.E. Like whats in the background on the sad bits in braveheart <---- and before anyone gets smart I know in braveheart they were scottish pipes.

Murphys rock.
Check out: Krid P - Backpipes.
I hope it's not too cheesy
Well, this is more Scottish-influenced, and they're going out with a bang, but here ya go:
Orbital - Bigpipe Style
There's your BAGPIPE BEATS for ya, laddy!
Give this one a try, a hardcore track from 1996:
DJ Ruffneck vs Mikey B - Doodlesex
The Dutch word for bagpipes is 'doedelzak'. 'Zak' is Dutch for 'sack'. More than one sack = sacks. Sacks sounds like sex. 'Doedel' in Dutch is pronounced the same way as 'doodle' in English. Hence 'Doodlesex'.
Not very fashionable for todays electronic music, but whatever, it has bagpipes in it!
That's a great story that has my interest piqued!
Thanks for sharing.
