In search of Sunshine-Design
Hey guys,
I have a new song out. Please give it a listen.
In search of Sunshine (hi fi stream)
In search of Sunshine (download)
I'd appreciate comments and suggestions.
Cheers
Really like the percussions, but the kick and sub-bass are really really soft sounding. I'd try a different kick sample, one with a lot more crunchyness to it. I'd turn up the snare quite a bit too. I like the melody except for the one high note that you hit, but I definitely prefer the sound of the synth you bring in around 1:30 more than the one in the longer breakdown. Style-wise I'm not a huge fan, but that's just a matter of opinion as I really prefer the darker stuff, hehe.
Things I'd change:
-Different kick/sub-bass sound.
-More non-highhat percussive sounds (the hats are very good though).
-Change sound of main lead during breakdown to something less kinda Poppy sounding, if that makes any sense at all.
Title reminds me too much of In Search of Sunrise (Tiesto's CD Set). Might be something to think about, doesn't really matter much.
Melody is a little too happy for me, but if that's your thing, good job. It seems well put together.
All of the synths sound sort of cheap atm, not sure exactly how you would fix that. Try some more effects, and thickening up some of your sounds.
This has potential to be a solid summer track, just work some more on sound design.
Good suggestions, I appreciate it. I think I'll have to change the name of the song though.
Thanks again
Some more feedback would be nice to get pointers about production quality and arrangement.
C'mon guys, don't be shy.
Thanks
Basicly what they said.
The kick is not all that bad. Try compressing it more to make it a little punchier.
The second synth sucks.
I would like to hear a fuller sounding bass. I noticed it especially in the break when it comes in and there is no kick to support it.
Overall it sound quite decent, I wish I could make something like this
