pioneer hdj1000
neone know a store in melbourne that sells these & has them in stock?
central station doesnt have them in stock >:
hdj1000 in melb
dood.....i saw it retailing for AUD280 if i'm not wrong in JB Hifi, lonsdale st, the city......
i'm still deciding on the hdj1000 or the mdrv700 ....they retail for around the same price.....
anyone can help here?!!!!!!
Have you tried Sennheiser? The HD200's are cheap, sound great, comfortable for very, very long use and are indestructable. I love mine. The HD25's are by all means the ultimate headphone... and the pioneers....I haven't used them for long but i didn't like them very much at all. If the Senn's arn't perfect for you have a look at Ultrasone and AKG as well... For the same price you can get the Ultrasone HFI-DJ5001 and I don't think the pioneers would really be in the same league..... but i'm not a big fan of pioneer stuff, the cd players are awesome though...and the hifi amps are very nice.
10000 years later u delayed kunts
lol
i know a place that sells em for $240 (hdj1000)... in sunshine.. i asked em n they said it was on bak order or some shit so i went to one stop deejay n pay 299
LOL!!! sorry man skm...just saw your post yesterday...heahaheahah
what do you think of the HDJ1000? i need a can for casual listening and the occasional mixing...
dynafire: whoa....senns?? ultasone?? *getting a migraine now* you know of any places in melb which stocks these??? i need to have a listen to them ...
i tried the mdrv700...i kinda liked its bass response...
im no sound engineer or nothing but i like the hdj1000's.. i was ganna buy the sony ones then i read places that said the hindges broke 2 early and easily so i decided to get these ones
If it doens't stock senns it isn't a music store.....
Try central station, they have them cheap, or cc's light and sound, or Rhythm and Sould, pro light and sound, etc..... everywhere pretty much, the Ultrasone are harder to find but if you look at there website there is a list of stockists. Sennheiser are good headphones... so are the the other's i mentioned. I use my headphones to much to buy Sony's and well the other brands.... pioneer/stanton/gemini/technics/etc i wouldn't even think of buying headphones from them.... I've tried each of them and I like the senns the most. Though i've heard very good things about the Ultrasone... and i quite like the higher end AKG. HD25, HD280 or HD200 are all very, very nice. The HD200 is not quite as loud at the HD25 but fits my big head better...for $299 you could get some really nice headphones.... the good Ultrasone's for instance, or the HD200, or the AKGs... or a bit more and you could even get the HD25s..... don't buy expensive and crap headphones......If you have alread bought the others, can you take them back and swap for one of the above mentioned?
if you look at the posts on the headphone thread in the dj area of TA
Winner: Ultrasone HFI-500 DJ1
Runner up: Sennheiser HD280 PRO
Budget pick: Sony MDR-7506 (MDR-V6)
But i think the HD200 is MUCH nicer than the sony... for a budget pick and seeing the Ultrasone are the same price as the headphones you're thinking of, which to put it bluntly, didn't make it to the list... i'd take the senns or ultrasones...
ive had a pair of hdj's for a number of years now and they are still working perfectly sound wise, theyre in fairlyt good condition seeing though how many km's theyve travelled...
fit nicely, shoulder rest is a toy but is comfy
would recommend these to anyone
dynafire:wow... thanks a lot for the information...i checked out some of the headgear you mentioned...and yeah the senn 280HD is really nice!!! it retails for aud320... which was pretty steep..and guess what? i settled for the pioneer hdj1000 as they were on sale at aud220 which was too good to resist. thanks a lot for your feedback..it was invaluable....i'll check out the ultrasones when the pioneers die off.

If you want senn hd25's try chemical records they cost 90 pounds or about $215. Got them in week, no duty as it's under the limit. Fuck paying $599 for them like ive seen them in the shops.
