I just got a new Scott Brown mixed cd, and i wanted to do something like him. A good Makina/Happyhardcore track, like stuff you can hear at X-Que?.

ahaaa? I've listened to alot of stuff from you, and it's sure hardcore-trance. Like a mad benni benassi sound... So I'm downloading this when I get home from school. But I don't think this is any good. We'll see

Ok - First I must say that I'm really fan of happy hardcore...

- you got the right tempo, ok
- nonononononoo!!! this ain't happy (1.00min)
- ok there's the melody. But it's totally out of line!! Some semitones wrong maybe...
- didn't like this one at all!!! The melody was just tragic, and way too monotone (short). Just looping over and over again. And please, add some fast going piano when you want to make some happy hardcore. I suggest you stick to your mad hardcore, open mind

Its not full on Happy Hardcore no, but it's still very uplifting. This falls more into the 'Trance-core' category. That's really more Darren Styles & Mark Breeze territory. Don't know what Scott Brown cd you have but his stuff is usually very dark & dirty hardcore not happy.

I like this quite a bit, Trance-core is my thing. Get rid of the vox sample though, 'Party people in the Place' ? Waaay too cheesey mate.

But the lead is good. Up the levels of the hats a little, thats one the main ingredients that give Hardcore it's energy.

It's not massively original but it works well. Nice synths and lead riff. Def needs to be longer but overall good work.

Wouldn't mind remixing this myself under my Hardcore name, 'Sytek.' See my recent post 'Joe Kurve - Khemikal Awakenings (Sytek Remix)' on this site for an example of my work. It's quite dark and edgy.

this is not happy hardcore its nu style hardcore.. like the new stuff from breeze & styles and brisk & ham and stuff like that...
ive got a couple of records of this.. and this is an ok choon... the dark pre mel shold be more chopped up, and have some really wild breaks... the main mel should be more complex, like the maion sequence Breeze & Trixxy - Your Shining... The break where the main lead enters is cool, but to really kick off the takeoff you shold add thre triplets just before the beats starts up. The rest is very good.. Bassline and drums are good.. but gets a bit monotonous after a while so throw in a couple of nice breaks in there..

ex:

REgular Kick: X - X - X - - - X - X - - - - -
Distort Kick: - - - - - - X - - - - - X - X -

this is a very standard nu style hardcore break, which normally
works good..

keep up the good work.. ley me know if there will be any changes in the track, cus this track got most of what it needs to be a true stomper..

Since 3 years, happyhardcore became a little trancy. there is no piano anymore now. it became more makina.
The scott brown cd I listenned is Kontrol - concentration de dj's (aka Scorpia) from spain.
but i'm not surprised of yours critiks alexpea, you always assassinate my productions, you like anything... I don't know how you are with others guys but i think you are a little sarcastic...
