I waited for this a long time...

Who will need a computer after this? It looks amazing. You can have any VST soft synth or an audio processor loaded here.
Nice!

Yup, been out for a little while now. I think its main use would be for live performance.

Probably those who can't afford the $5600+ for one of those things.

true that.. I'll deal with the lag of my 2.8ghz CPU since I only paid $1200 for my system

it is a really nice idea though.. so it's basically a computer in a keyboard?

OMG I DIE!!!!

LOL i always wanted to say that...now that its outta my system...
thats a sweet rig.

I wouldn't get one, look how huge the unit is. The resolution on the lcd is just standard XGA (1024x768), not exactly ideal either.

anyone who buys that is plain stupid. If you want portablility get a labtop. what happens when something breaks on the thing, your screwed!

I'm not so sure it's intended for portablitiy, it is meant to compete with the Triton and Motif type of workstations. It claims to use "industry standard" components, (motherboards processors etc.).

yeah.. I would much sooner spend $5600 on a sick computer with dual monitors, some nice studio monitors, and a full size MIDI controller.. at least that way I can use it for other things and if the basterd breaks I can fix it myself instead of sending it back to them

5600$ ?

You'll get some good pc, with some audio software and 1 - 2 HARDWARE Synths.

Imagine to spend 5600$ and you still have the sound of software ...

Cool concept, and when VSTi will sound like hardware in some years this will be awesome. But not now, today.

Damn, that thing looks like some early 1980's contraption. Ugly as hell and would no doubt become obsolete within a few months. I'll stick with me seperates (and upgrage them one by one as and when)

Its a nice concept but for that sort of money like has been said above your moneys not going very far. For a start off the screen is tiny - like a car may have in its head rest, when you need serious screen space for some (most?) audio apps. The keyboard looks like a laptop keyboard, all of 30's worth. Im sure the keyboard is nice and has all the usual tricks but nothing a 150+ controller wouldnt have. Couldn't really comment on the rest of it, but seriously - Mac G5 and a 24" cinema display or that?
