Anyone have any idea how to do this????
Without using a hardware sampler how would you do the following:
Slow the tempo/pitch of your entire track to a snail pace and speed it back up again to the original tempo?
My only idea is to cut that section out as a sample, loop it in acid, import it into Reason's sampler, make a automation track and automate the pitch down and back up again using Reason's sequencer. Export, and bring the effected audio back into my sequencer.
Problem with this is:
Reason's sampler pitch control is not fluid, but steps up and down and it doesn't play a sample long enough (may be user error though).
Any ideas?
Any easier ways to make this effect?
Like in "French Kiss" ??
I'd use automation and just alter the tempo.
I always use Cooledit pro (you can use any other audio editing software) for these kind of things. I always add those kind of effects when my track is done mixing. But still before mastering though.
I hope this will help... If you're not satisfied with my answer, just be more specific in how you want to use it in you're track and I'll try to help you out.

No, I don't think you can in reason it is one of the noted missing features, in Cubase, fruity etc its just a matter of automation
ah ha! I think I just figured this out. Cool Edit Pro is the key.
You can do it using Ableton's 'Live' by drawing in the tempo change like you would draw any automation into Reason.
