Cool Sasha in Tampa review

I just got back from tampa and the sasha show was really good. It was just ryan(rounder) and my self partyin it up. I guess there was, climbatizer, suzy solar, and lil-b there but never met up. What's the deal with that? Anyways, about the show. Sasha played some beautiful tracks which we deffinatly went crazy for!! Some tracks were absoulutely beatiful!! I don't know what they were, mabye new?? The last song he cut the record playing and then threw down unkle- in a state, we went nuts!! 70% of the show was sashas world renownd style. To speak the truth the other 30% was breaks or tracks which was not himself. Some of the breaks tracks were not good. He also played a white stripes remix(bleh...) Other than that i had a blast with ryan. Good times ryan, good times. That movin dance floor at the ampitheater is crazy!! Next event, WMC baby!!!!

Wink Sasha 2-27-04 pics

Sasha dropped the bomb pre-WMC style last night. Many track repeats from his visit 2 months ago, but who cares! It was still sick.
Ended on the White Stripes-7 Nation Army, Unkle-In a State, except this time the CD didn't skip . As mentioned above, the breaks were still VERY prevalent, esp for Sasha. Maybe the prodigal son JZ's style is starting rub off?? I will try to post a few pics...See y'all in Miami next weekend!

The deal with that is, that place was packed to the gills last night. Suzy and I could not walk 5 feet without seeing someone that we knew from the past. We got to the Amp around 12:15 after a nice meal & chat at Samurai Blue Sushi resturant with fellow TA Adrian (sorry i am horrible with names & I forgot your TA name). When we arrived, DJ Three was just finishing his set and Sasha was taking the stage. We really didnt get a chance to fully enjoy the music this night due to the overwhelming amount of people we ran into, that we hadnt seen in years. I always tried to have one ear tuned to the music but it was rather difficult. From what i did hear though, my feelings were that this set had its moments. The mixing was tight, his song selection was good, and the club had a nice vibe. The one thing that I could take points off for, was that it never really peaked. The tempo at the end of the night was at about where i wish it had been at midnight when i got there. All in all this was a nice warmup to WMC.

not sure where you been really but sasha has always played a lot of breaks

Tampa is like the breaks capital of the world, my opinion obviously, but im sure he played breaks to please the type of crowd,...

Sasha was good but the afterparty was better. I was hanging out with DJ Three, the monk from rabbit in the moon, and just jamming to this crazy percussion/drum & bass set all night. That's usually not my cup of tea but the atmosphere was awesome.

Umm where was this??? and once again its another TA who was suposely at the show. Ryan and i went to some after party at floyds in hard rock. He got in and said it sucked hard. This after party must have been somewhere else?

this was the Official afterparty where Hipp-E from H-foundation spun an amazing hard funky tribal jazzy house set which blew me away. I was with darkace and had a blast. Some songs I wrote down from sasha's set:

nathan fake - outhouse (may have been right before he got on)
luke chable - melburn
Rowan Blades & Chris Lake - Untitled
Phil K - I love you
Matthew Dekay Band - Higher Thoughts
Rouzbeh Delavari - Inner Structure (Petter's Deep In The Loop Mix)
encore
UNKLE - In a State (Sasha remix)

I'll have a few more ID'd soon, I thought his set was amazing, but I would have liked more of a buildup at the end.

I thought it was a good set, but definitely not as good as the last time he was here in December. I love how he takes that Seven Nation Army track and just builds it up with the CDJ-1000's. All in all, it was a decent set. And yes Three was the one who played Outhouse

some more id's

holden and thompson - come to me
britney spears - ? (holden remix)
way out west - traffic a #1 (remix)
the beloved - sweet harmony (northern people remix)!!
