Clubbing in Cancun

hi everyone...

...i am going to go to cancun on march 14-21 for a nice vacation...i've been in the past (1999), where la boom & coco bongo were the 2 clubs i checked out that played some house music...good house music....i am wondering if anyone has been there as of late and can make some suggestions as to the club scene there now...house & trance type parties, i really don't want to get stuck listening to any nelly or missy elliot or cindy lauper or ac/dc or bon jovi type parties with swells of drunkin spring break crazies....anyone have any ideas?

A shame you couldn't goto Cancun sooner. PvD will be there March 7th. I was there last summer and I thikn your best bet is La Boom. Every other place I've been to is Top 40s. Coco Bongo does a whole live act performance with a lot of famous oldies (MJ's Thriller) until around 2am. Then it's more house and trance. But it's more mainstream house and trance.

I just got back from Cancun a week ago, and thanks alot for telling me that he that PVD is going to be there on the 7th cause now I want to kill someone....lol...just kidding! I went to all the clubs down there and all of them starting playing some pretty decent house/trance/tech except for Fat Tuesday's. My favorite for music was definetly Dadio's. I heard some decent new tunes there like the Gabriel and dresden rexis of fallen, and Britney Spears, and then they also played As the Rush Comes. I don't know, nothing crazy new but still it was nice to hear some tunes like that. Anyways, I'm rabbling on cause I had such a wicked time! Have fun!
