Possibly converting my sister to trance
My sister lately has become a huge DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) enthusiast, and she likes everything about it. Most of all, she claims she really likes the music. While I as well of all of you know it is cheese, some of the tunes she likes from the game are not that different from trance. I told my sister the type of music I listen to is similar to it, and that I'd be able to give her some examples. What are some good trance tunes that I can use to "ween" my sister from the DDR songs to real trance?

well here's my theory, if you want to scare her into trance then try this approach:
start with:
wumpscut - die in winter
aphex twin - come to daddy
fatboy slim - star 69
front 242 - headhunter
infected mushroom - bust a move
Assemblage 23 - 7 Days
then move in some:
Praga Khan - Luv U Still
mark richardson - hard drive
Shokk - Folie A Deux
Talla 2xlc - World In My Eyes (Cosmic Gate RMX)
DJ Reeloop - Fucking Society (Chromedioxid II Remix)
then cap it off with stuff more related to DDR:
Sisko - Light Over Me (Gate Of Light Mix)
Nalin & Kane - Beachball Vocal Mix
Marco V - i feel you
IIO - Rapture
Dominion - 11 Hours
Pulser - Cloudwalking
Nalin & Kane - Beachball (Vocal Mix)
kaycee - escape
then if she has been a good girl tell her no to these traxx from now on:
Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Thru This
Dream - He Loves You Not (HQ2 Mix)
Gigi D'Agostino - I'll fly with you
anything by Imperio
anything by Dj Sammy
anything by Boney M
my theory is, if you start off with a bunch of stuff that she would consider boring and weird, then move into more abrasive that these 2 sections will make her want to bring on the third section to stop the noise levels.
ex. Mark Richardson - Hard drive is pretty damn hard
then after she listens to a minute of that (only a minute because she will whine that it sucks) then you move into something more related to the poopy lyrics and somewhat decent melodies of DDR such as Nalin & Kane - Beachball Vocal Mix and presto, a new TA haha
being surrounded by people who like a lot of DDR music around here, i think i can help you out. some stuff they like the most and enjoy to overplay are the following :
sylver - forever in love
milk inc - land of the living
dj sammy - sunlight (original or minimalistix mix)
dj sammy - heaven
sylver - turn the tide
madelyne - beautiful child
kylie minogue - slow
foggy - take the future
resistance d - you were there
"any stuff from" -- noemi or orion
and some trance stuff that she might like (the people love it here )
clokx - clocks
driftwood - freeloader
gouryella - gouryella <<== old classic track, but new people love it here
andain - beautiful things
motorcycle - as the rush comes
roc project ft tina - never
and the list goes on ....
probably something obviously with vocals (since she is 12 and probably doesn't really respect and look forward to the beat placements and use of synths and strings... and is probably still in her poppy 'spears .. aguilera .. oricco.. duff..' stage ..)
i think the best thing to do is not to rush her into trance, but take it slowly..
first, start off with the vocalized beat compressed less than 4 minute stuff .. just to get her started
then, ease her into the active songs that are not radio hype type, but have a good sense of activity to get up and dance
last, she can probably get into the classic build-up songs that were made just for the vinyl, not for the cd.. haha

LOL Lira
Anyway, yesterday I got her to listen to Masters & Nickson - 5th Dimension and she liked it. Thing is she doesn't like the songs being so long, so she's listening to the radio edits and mixes. Any other tunes kind of like this one that you guys have in mind?
Make her listen to pr0g so she becomes elite.
My sister likes all kinda of music from gothik, Robbie Williams, Pink, Marilyn Manson to techno.
From 2 months ago she goes every weekend at a local techno club because in there you can smoke weed and she likes the athmosphere of this club (even one day we went at this club together).
She is starting to get into the scene, and she asked me for good techno. I was really impressed and glad and I ripped a cd to her with Cox and Mills sets. I hope she likes it.
dont do it
if she dosnt discover trance by herself than it wasnt meant to be
Hallucinogen - Horrorgram

You could try anything involving BT.
