Help on a riff

Here's a sample of my new track I'm working on.

In the style of ASOT

Not sure about a little riff I got goin on in there. Ull know what I mean. It sounds different, that was the idea, not to be conventional, but it might be a little too unconventional.

Let me know what you think anyways.

The percussion is pretty good except for that wood hit sounding sample thing thats there from the start, id replace it with a better sample. Kick could be a bit harder. Dont like the squarish sounding synth that starts at about 55 seconds. The pad that comes in at 1:17 (i think) sounds like some 3xosc preset, i dont like it.

Kick seems fine to me.

I've limited the use of the bongo sound now.

I've also changed the synth of the square-ish sounding synth, too something a little more appealing.

The pad used is from the pro53, the intermodulate pad (preset 123) with some external effects.

Any suggestions on a better sounding pad that'll stick out as much a the one I'm using.

The melody is okay. Not really my style. I think that maybe the sound you use with the melody is what detracted me. Just not my style I'm affraid.

Have changed this A HELL OF A LOT now. Gunna finish it before I post it again. About 40% done, still playing about with the hook.
