Tommie - Son of Liberty

From the ashes into the fire, Tommie is back with a new tune.

Based on the wonderfull theme by Mr Harry Gregson-Williams for the PS2 game, Metal Gear Solid - Sons of liberty.

Enjoy this high energy, hum, track. Hope some likes it ...

Credits, as always, to the best buddy there is, Jezper 'Airbase' Söderlund.

This sounds fantastic! I really like the original score and I think you've done a great job with it.

Can't complain about anything really - Just wondering how people who haven't heard the original piece will react to it...

Anyway, great work. Now go make us some more!

The intro is wicked, liking it a lot.
Nice white noise in the background aswell.
Snare drum sounds sweet as a nut.
Nice little sub bass stab pattern going on in there aswell.
Percussion sounds perfect too.

Caught me by suprise with that synth aswell, where everything else drops out, I like suprises.

Nice little arp-sounding thing going on there aswell.

Geourgous chord change there, again nice suprise.

Pads are there too fill it out now aswell, not a lot you've missed here.

Nice build-up intro breakdown.

Nice fx just before the lead comes in, which has REALLY got my attention now everything else has dropped out.

Hook is wicked, overall I am extremely liking this. Top notch produciton level.

Well done m8.

Feel that some acid sounds in there would fit quite well.

ahhh.. gotta play MGS2 again.. great game... the original track is really nice and this sounds great too

Awsome!!! But I have to say that I don't like the way you're bringing in the melody in this one. It's too sudden... I think mister Söderlund is good at that. I think the way he introduced the melody in "Unity Of Earth" was fantastic.

I really like the drums at 5.45min. Really cool

Anyways keep up the good work

Cheers

HAHA! This is cool man! I didn't think a Metal Gear Solid "Sons of Libery" remix would sound this cool! Great job! Some good synths in there, and very classic minimal trance elements. Great work mate!

Thanks again for all the great feedback!

This track actually preformed quite good, was played by Airbase at his performance in Stockholm last Friday, was added to high rotation on di.fm and is this weeks Hot-tips on www.michaelsplint.com ...

It's indeed a great feeling to read that people like what i do ... thanks! ..

the original melody is great, and it's a very good idea to cover the track.
Great production, bassline is very good it sounds a bit like Airbase's (maybe just because it's quality ), build-up very good too... very pro, i love this; my fave of your productions till now.
Good luck with it.

Thumbs up

Awesome track, don't have much to complain about here
Excellent composition. Keeps the energy. Catching melody.

kicks/perc are great, bassline too.
I'd rate this as a top-track. thumbs up tommie

One of my fav tracks...

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Mar-09-2004 16:56:

Hmm...
The break is way too short and I don't really like the percs.

Other than that it's quite nice although it doesn't really move me at all.
