WTF------2004 Trance-----SuX!!!!
im personally a trance luver....and hv been addicting to it for 5 yrs....started to DJ a year ago, and i listen to the latest recordz coming out every week...
2003 has been going very well...but ever since 2004 started, i hvn't encounter any real quality uplifting melodic trance track yet. all the quality song i bought from jan 2004, to present ar either from 2003, or re-released (not produced in 2004)...
i no im a picky record buyer, but it was until yesturday that i couldn't take it anymore after 3 weeks of keeping up to date for the latest tracks, and came up with no real uplifting energy track (eg dj tatana vs the mystery-soul cry)...
i no this has been discussed before, but trance at the present state is being overwhelmed by vocals........and a lot of the tracks, ar so cheesy that they sound almost like POP music....
and they're always being overrated all the time.........
!!!i always wanted more tracks like armin van buuren-dido universial religion mix, but producers nowadays just seem to hv lost all their talents
!!!
plz take this thread seriously, and i wanna no wht u guys think
Look out for "Electrovoya - Whispers", which will be released today.
From what I've heard this one's a quality track.
Electrovoya - Whispers is the first track from the Matt Hardwick November Promo Mix, which can be found in the Live Sets section of this site.
It's awesome!
I agree, for the most part.
My opinion really hasn't changed since >this thread.<
Tech-trance is the only place anything is happening, and even there it's at a slow pace.

Fair deal of exceptions around as usual:
Primolux - Turnpoint
Terry Bones vs Fred Baker pres. Waterplanet - Introspection (John Askew Remix)
Fire & Ice - Para Siempre
White Room - White Room
AJP - Always In My Heart (Goldenscan/AJP Mixes)
Moonrunners - Flight (Marcos Mix)
Hmmmmmmmm, its only March, I share your frustration, but it is still early in the year. I am still looking forward to new albums by these particular artists:
1.)Gouryella
2.)M.I.K.E.
3.)Agnelli & Nelson
These are just a few of the artists which will be releasing full length albums for 2004. After each artist has released their album, I believe that a more educated opinion can be reached.

its not that it sux. its just there hasnt been more quality trance lately.. that's why i kinda shift more and narrow my listening taste to some prog breaks or some traibal prog house. something that's far from trance but really good as well.
maybe this is not the right to expect something good, i think the best stuff will be released in the summer when all the festival will start and some in the winter. We must have patience with it...
Check my sig.
Whine whine moan moan.
Insted of moaning just try other stuff and after tha I also belive you will find some good trance,I for myself don't listen much to "noraml" aka club aka "uplifting" trance much but I do find some quality.
It's all about looking beyond 'those' 2 popular weekly shows and there is enough still beyond the overhyped ones to keep you interested, but also fill up on healthy doses of tech-trance techno psy etc and you'll be happy enough with lots of styles
where is all of Dumondes good stuff? he is slacking off a bit.. and Airbase, his 2003 shit was crazy.. his new stuff just blows balls. Runaway 2003 was just a kick ass of a song in 2003.

oh no, trance is dead, electronica is dead, this IS the year it's all gonna fade away, oh no, save us
don't we see a bunch of those threads every year?
I don't agree with what you're saying...
If you look around you, there's enough of good uplifting trance.
For instance:
Octagen & Arizona - Starburst
Filo & Peri - Elevation
Rank 1 - Symsonic
Robert Nickson - Spiral
I know they're not the newest tracks anymore, but all 'officialy' released in 2004 (except for Filo & Peri's Elevation).
So don't talk no *peep* about uplifting trance in 2004

January and February are always slow months in tranceland. But there are some very nice tunes coming up soon.
Airwave - Lady Blue (Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix)
Above & Beyond - No One On Earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
