Can Protools LE use VSTIs ?
Sorry, but a quick question as the title says.
Couldn't find it on the internet or the digidesign site
Can Protools LE use VSTIs ?
nope.
however it uses its own synths which are 'TDM' format, there are a Virus and 303 synth's just for Pro tools, but they are expensive.
Pro tool's is aimed squarely at multitrack console studios and audio intake however(or the digidesign box).
If your gonna go the protools route make sure you have alot of money and hardware.
I think it can now, there is a piece of software out there by FXPansion I think it is, that converts VSTi's to RTAS. May only be for Mac though. Google came up with this.

Nice, I'm going to be getting an AMIII soundcard to start playing around with ProTools; didn't realize that I could actually get my VSTs in there as well.
