he'll be a god the day alot of the producers and remixes who've appeared on lost language get paid for the work theyve done.

Mate - I think its best if you stay clear of subjects you obviously know nothing about.

Hooj went under - a lot of people lost their jobs and some artists didnt get paid. Its a shame but unfortunately these things happen in business.

I lost a hell of a lot in the process too - but you pick yourself up and carry on... for example by starting up the label again from scratch.

Sorry to get into this on a message board - but I really feel the need to defend my corner on this subject...

Anyway - enjoy the set everyone.

i do actually know a little bit about it ben, im friends with one of the people that didn't get paid on TWO occasions. i wont name names. I just thought it was a little fucked up in some cases.

i wont be specific but so everyone knows.. a remixer was paid but the original artist wasnt paid of a particular track released on LL. Please explain that?

ALSO this track came out after at least one of the tracks my friend remixed had been released on LL (which he wasnt paid for). So LL pays the people / companies it deems important. funny stuff, you claim you cant pay one remixer, but a few releases later you pay another. Please explain that?

I just think it's wrong LL continues do sign more material when my friend has now lost faith in the whole scene, had people paid who've done work after him and now he says it is unlikely he will produce again.

the interesting thing is everyone, LL gets to dodge all the money it owes because it was hooj that went bacnkrupt. LL is an entirely different entitiy, so all debts are waved.

anyway, aside from all this, the label still owns thans kto your AnR work, you're a great DJ and i hope it continues to be a success.

Things were very fucking complicated and it was out of my hands...thats all I can say really - I felt awful for the people who were fucked around - but we did everything we could to try and make it work...we had to keep signing stuff to try and stay alive so we could pay these people...anyway - its a fresh start now and I'm a fair guy - so I'm gonna do everything I can to help out anyone who was affected by hooj going under...cheers Nell
