WICKED NEO READ THIS Conjure One - genre?

What do you think? I don't want super-specific, but just general. Is it more ambient, or alternative? Some of their tracks are more ambient, and some are less.

i would say downtempo...

good question, i have not really thought about conjure one fitting into any one genre.

Rhys Fulber (conjure one), ex Delerium member and Bill Leeb (delerium)started off in the Industrial scene with thier project 'Front Line Assembly'
Front Line Assembly are doing thier final tour this year and final album too althou Bill Leeb will continue with Delerium with input from Rhys Fulber but you may as well consider Delerium and Conjure One as 2 seperate projects.

Rhys considers Conjure One as 'a melting pot of world and pop music'

basicly dark ambient alternative etheral pop

the same is true of Delerium but with early Delerium u can defo tell the early industrial influence that came from Front Line Assembly

sorry it's not a single genre answer but Delerium & Conjure One just don't fit neatly into any one single genre

wow, I didn't know that the guys from Conjure One were behind FLA!
That's pretty cool

Thanks neo. Yea I read up on it too before asking, and couldn't conclude either.

so lets say for "Tears From The Moon"... would it be more ambient/chillout, or alternative? Don't ask me why I'm asking.

Yeah, being an industrial fan before I got into trance and all, I saw stuff about Delerium being Rhys Fulber and Bill Leep, and had a major case of OMGWTF.

Fronte Line Assembly is awesome, but they have absolutely nothing in common with Delerium or Conjure One. At all.

then u need to check out the early delerium albums like 'Morpheus'

very very heavily infulenced imo by thier front line assembly stuff

the original version of 'Tears From the Moon' is imo a ballad, a love song, very ambient ballad thou

Then I'll call it ambient for now...

was that a quadruple adjective?

Didn't Conjure One remake Tears from the Moon? The original was by Lunascape or something?

Posted by tranceDJ on Mar-04-2004 05:05:

The best music out there is usually music you can't classify into one genre. Both delerium and conjure one are great.
