Why are people always comparing anyway?
Tiesto and PVD are friends anyway. When Tiesto won the DJMag DJ Top 100 contest he even said he thought PVD was gunna win for sure..

I was under the impression Paul van Dijk was going to win it this year, which would have been fine with me as well. Just to get all the � rumours � out of the way :Paul and I are really good friends, and we have enjoyed our Ibiza residency a lot. We both have our own sound and they don�t get in the way. The reason why we don't play that much together is that no promotor would be mad enough to book us both on the same night. He would have 2 crowded nights instead of one if he books us seperately.
Still,I am very happy that i won again and I want to thank everybody who voted for me and who has supported me in the past year.
Tiesto seems like a pretty cool guy....and he talks funny.....and he has a funny name....hehe
Why do some people like Coke over Pepsi.. ?
THEY TASTE EXACTLY THE SAME WAY...

Listen to what you want to listen to, and forget about comparing and arguing over who's better than who. It gets you nowhere, and it's a waste of other people's time on the forums. Most of the DJs for whom a lot of the people here are going to war over are actually friends. They'd probably laugh pretty hard if they knew how frenzied their fans can get when someone claims one artist to be better than another. The truth of the matter is, they can all spin ten times better than even the best amateurs on these forums. That's why their the all professionals, and that's all that should matter.
I don't know if some of these events where they pass out awards really matter to the DJs because they could be earning a few Gs by simply spinning and not being there. I believe they agree to attend a few for the parties and what not as time off. Who wins what might be kinda immaterial to them getting together, since they are normally all making a good living spinning away and doing their own thing.

I know what you're talking about... Another thing I'm always seeing is people trying to put DJ's against each other. Especially Ferry and Tiesto. On this month's Mixmag's front cover it said 'why I want to kill Tiesto, by Ferry' or something like that... and it was an interview where Ferry was asked how he'd kill Tiesto if he was a hostage and was going to suffer a painful death if Ferry didn't intevene and kill him instead. Then they asked Ferry all the usual questions, about Gouryella and shit... so typical. I don't even see why they'd do it for publicity, its not like pop music or Hollywood where some sad people give a crap about that kinda thing.
