loooool this thread rocks!
perhaps we should move it to the fun section?

hey mate.
nice to see someone using Playstation 2 for producing.. i have been using all music creation programs on Playstation.. and they fucking rocks.. especially MTV Music Generator 2...
Music 3000 was a BIG dissapointment.. as I now have moved over to using Cubase, Reason etc. + some hardware..
my Playstation 2 made tracks can be found at
www.besonic.com/subtleinc (for those interested..
if u want to have melodies, like in shape of notes I suggest you use notes from Nokia ring tones or something
well atleast someone is taking me serious.
hey do you have msn messanger?
feel free to add me on MSN:
E-mail adress: [email protected]
i`ll help u in any way I can
thanks alot mate
WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
Making music with playstation ?!?
it's like ejay or something?
hehe lame...
No, the music series kicks the shit out of ejay, unless ejay has become waaaaaay more advanced since i last used it (dance ejay 2).
dance ejay has came a long way now I think its on number 6 or sumthing now but I still like music better
Does anyone know how to get a good lead synth from this pocket-sized music tablet I got as a prize in my last box of Rice Crispies? The box says you can get Tiesto type leads but so far it seems a bit thin to me, and sugary too. Thanks in advance.
I'm just kidding. Sorry, just having fun.
What my fellow members are trying to say is, be aware there are alot better music production programs out there. Just so you know.

Ahh, memories. I got my start on Music Generator 2 about 3 years ago.
Too bad I wasted a year doing stuff on that instead of moving on to FL sooner.
God, my stuff was horrible on that thing...
*laughs*
wow.. I would have to say this is the biggest n00b thread I have seen yet
but all is not lost.. perhaps you can stop waisting your time producing with video games? Try downloading a demo of fruityloops.. it's easy to use, and ppl might take you a little bit more seriously..
*laughs again*

Not very nice to laugh at the guy just cause he uses Music 3000
After all Me, Echano & Chris Shepherd all started out using the Old Music 2000 on the PC/PSX before moving on to Reason & whatnot.
The great thing about these programs is that although the sound is nowhere near Floops or reason, they have a very good learning curve, and do help a lot for learning the basics of music production - I shit you not.

My first trance track was made in Goldwave by using a $20 microphone to sample percussive loops and synth sounds off of my yamaha keyboard and then copy+pasting them into an audio track.
