Technics RCA cables

is it just me, or are the audio cables that come out of 1200s abit on the short side? this is just an observation. i've seen dj boths were the decks are kinda far away from the mixer and i'm thinking "how do they do that?" does anyone else think they're kinda short?

there really isnt a point to this thread but a big 'ol +1 for me

MIne are even shorter than "normal" because the dumbass that owned them before me spliced the ends from a regular RCA cable into then with scotch tape and I had to put new ends on them. Which reminds me...my Neutrik RCAs should sho up pretty soon....

If you need a longer RCA cable you can just get an extension cable and it is all good. You don't want them to be super long anyway because the signal from a turntable is so low that it is lost easily over a longer distance.

but, isnt that useless having longer cables? are you going to cue your record and walk totheo ther side ofthe room to eq it? who would want longer cables? or better yet, who would NEED longer cables?

me too.

I have numark decks and I've always wondered why technics still have the fixed rca and ground. With the detachable cables you're free to choose what kind you want to use, along with the fact that they dont connect inside the turntable housing so they don't break as easy.

i have both of my turntables to the left of my mixer because of my lack of furniture and the layout of my room. i couldnt put them both to the right of my mixer because the inputs on my mixer are on the left of it and the right most turntable's cables wouldnt be able to reach.

i dont think that they should have ten foot long cables or anything but it just seems like they could be abit longer than they are, or even better they could be set up like the numarks.

While I don't personally see the point for longer cables, obviously there are exceptions. I think that there should be an easy way (a la Numark) to switch to a differant cable if you feel you need it. Never hurts to give the consumer extra choice
