amazing it is indeed!

Basslines sounds great with the melody, which is awesome!
Kicks/perc ... superb

What impressed me the most is that it keeps the energy throughout the whole track. The melody really helps keeping it up.

the low-piano sounds and the vocals makes the track more 'thick' which I like alot. You mixed several sound-effects in this one in a good way too.
One important thing that I noticed is that you didn't start with only kicks/hats in the beginning which makes ppl get bored. It is being used in so many tracks that It gets pretty annoying. Good for you there

Maybe it's the composition that could've been better, it's not bad though. And also about the ending, don't really like when it fades out. But some ppl might like it though.

Awesome track! Love it

Cool

to be honest mate it aint too dissimilar to the original, just the original samples with some of your own extra percs + noises, along with a pretty nasty main synth

Posted by rml on Mar-07-2004 20:26:

You are whacked bro..

It is quite good, well produced, but as Luke said (very very respected on here, wouldn't diss him) it is quite similar to the original.

I personally don't like the square lead synth, sounds like it wants to go a bit aciddy, but doesn't.

Would advise maybe not to big up your own tracks as much aswell. Gives people the wrong impression and deters the TA's from commenting, however gud you think your track is.

Just speaking from experience anyway, don't take it the wrong way.

Keep up the good production work.

This is quite good, but I agree with Luke on this one. The square bassline from the Original was the most standout part of the Original mix, and by keeping it exactly intact a remix will never be dissimilar enough from the original to really be great IMO. Good job though regardless; if I were you I'd remake it with your own bassline.

Thanks for your feedback!

Nobody has "dissed" anybody here. I just think that the choice of words were "pretty nasty" so to speak. I wouldn't write in a forum that someone is a "pretty nasty" DJ if asked for comments on a mix. Could be a bit smoother huh?

And if you read again maybe you'll see that I was pretty ironic when I said that the song is amazing...

Anyways, thanks for your comments!

(And by the way, the lead is a saw synth...)

well i'm not impressed this just sounds like a bit of a shabby edit version to me and thats not worthy of any praise

sorry if it sounds harsh, but thats the way stuff is done, we don't skirt round issues in here. there is no point in sayin something is brilliant when it isn't, whats the help in that? the synth is pretty nasty, its an unrefined saw synth with no edge too it, and the rest is just about all sampling, the bass hasn't even been edited only to play just B at the start, it goes straight into note changes from the first bar. feel free to go and comment + abuse any of my tracks.

Have I said that you should lie and say something is brilliant if it's not? Uh, no.. I said that you can be a bit smoother in your choice of words. And no, I don't want to abuse any of your tracks. I don't get off by dissing other people. And your thoughts about what I used and not in the remix are so wrong that I don't even know were to start. And I wont, so please just keep it to yourself. I don't want to start world war III here. I asked the people for some comments on a track. Not to start a fight with an unknown person. And not to get ignorant statements from someone that doesn't know what he is talking about regarding what I used and not in my production.

"just the original samples with some of your own extra percs + noises, along with a pretty nasty main synth"

Please man, give it a rest...

All you other people, thanks alot for your feedback!

(I agree with you dj-sean about the bassline. I thought about taking it away and only use the ->other bassline<- in the track. But it just felt a bit flat. Maybe I'll remake it some day )

Posted by Tranc3 on Mar-08-2004 06:46:

Sounds way too much like the original for me, which is both good and bad. Good because it remains a good track, but bad because it's not as unique as it could be.

Gotta agree with Luke on the "pretty nasty main synth." It's way too screechy, doesn't fit into the mix very well.

pls read your comment, you asked for comments..well you got them.....

just because it's YOUR track don't meean the comments have to be good is it?

you know be glad you getting reviews, since your a tranceaddict in training here, means your new and getting alraedy 9 replies or something..THIS DONT HAPPEN OFTEN! am here like 1 year member, feedback and all and hardly get any comments..you should consider your self lucky that people that are helping you instead of going moaning about i want smoother comments

i just made a remix, i got a comment that it was to repitative, well i coulda replied you know robert nickson-spirals is the same style but everyone liked that..but i didn't you know, i'll take this comment and will try harder in my next project to make it less repitative and try to make it good for everyone..\

without critisem on this forum, no1 coulda get where he is now, at least i wouldn't and thats for sure...

also be glad luke terry even replied, he is one of the expreienced producers here and was just trying to help you..

unless your posting joke samples and unserious work here, people diss you, but if not, it's just help nothing bad..

as for your tune, its boring but thats because the orignal sux as well for me..so it's not really your fault, because i don't like the vocals, melody etcc just not my style :P

well... it is

you don't seem to be able to take criticism at all, perhaps you should go and review other people's tracks and see how it's done. i've had quite enough of your attitude, it's not the way things are done here
