that atmospheric pad in the begining doesn't really fit with the other harmonies. Decent melody, dont get that nice feeling of it, otherwise its a nice idea you got, original track.

keep it up

cheers
endre

I have to agree with Endre on that atmospheric pad - it realy doesnt fit. Liking the piano. Bass is pretty neat. The overall idea is great , though i feel a slight harmonic problem, like some keys are misplaced. Cheers,
EM.

Cheers endre & eternal

Do you mean the piano notes are out a little?

I may change that pad if i have time.

Thanks again

Alex

Yeah, I noticed it too.. some keys are misplaced. At 4:36 and forward (the same sound you have somewhere in the beginning and through the whole track mostly)... think you should mix with filters a little there in the sound, think it causes problem when mixing with other sounds in this track.
And the atmospheric pad...it's ok, but I think it could be alot better than it is right now. It doesn't give much to the track, maybe brighten it up or something? Try mixing with it, it comes out of itself..

The synthpiano doesn't really fit perfectly either, more layers/filters could help. The melody used there too simple also, try adding some keys and mix with it, I don't think they give much as it is right now. However it sounds good when used in the main part of the track when mixed with other sounds. But not alone.

Liked the melody in general, kicks/perc sounds really good too. Also, in the beginning, like when you use more than just drums there
I think there's much to do before it sounds perfect, but it's not a bad piece at all. Mucho like it

comments as i listen -

good cymbals in the beginning, nice blend of hats and such that fill in nicely. i like the bassline quite a bit as it kicks in. i would prefer a "fuller" kick and less obvious clap. well, the pad that comes in at 1:37 is cool. the tinny pad in the intro should be replaced with a filtered version of this pad.

i like the piano part, reminscent of Robert Miles.

i'm at 2:45 (breakdown). cool synth. 3:00 stringy synth comes in. the piano's gone, too bad, i liked the piano. this part is commericial sounding (take that how you want to). ok, 3:33 kick is back and again i wish it were fuller. and the bassline is a bit too mid. maybe its just the song is ranged high-mid. i dont know, but that wont bring the house down in a club.

i like the riff a bit. 4:39 everything drops out, how about a little 16 bar breakbeat here?

the rest of the song is similar. i like it a lot. its trancy, but maybe some variation in the melody. you have a really good melody picked out, maybe bring it somewhere else occasionally. i like all your synths and pads alot. i would love a little meaner bass and a little fuller kick

great track!

I really liked your previous works, very energetic and jumpy. So lets see if I like this one as well

The intro seems to be abit chilled, the bass drum could be abit stronger I guess, bassline is cool though.

I didn't quite like the synth you used in that tune, they sound distorted and unclear, not sharp enough.

The piano parts are nice, though they dont really fit in the mood of the tune IMO. The same piano notes keep coming in several points in the track which makes it abit repetitive.

Overall i think its an OK track, but you can do better than that from what I heard from you so far...
Keep working on that!

Worm Popper

I don`t know why, but i really love those (square?)bass at 4:40. Possibly had choosen another more sawtooth-like instrument instead of the piano, but i like this production really much.
Good work, man!

I really like the melody in this tune, I'm still singing it in my head.

What's weird is I both really like the sounds you've used, and I really hate them. Maybe they are too fat to all fit together? Or maybe its just my headphones ?

After the breakdowns (3min and 6:30), when the song comes in, I think it is very close to sounding completely wicked; but it needs a little more work on the production side of things to really rock!

Good stuff!

Gotta agree with Endre on the use of the atmospheric track in the beginning, it's definitely original and it definitely makes for a different feel, but it doesn't really go with the saw that's playing. Goes nicely with the bassline, both have a slightly dark feeling.

Yeah now the organ at 1:22 has taken away the dark feel. Then dark acid sounds + semi-happy piano. I feel so conflicted!

Not really digging the squarish synth in the breakdown, it's taking attention away from the piano. It's like the piano was the central focus, and then my attention gets divided between the two.

Buildup works really well. Try shifting the lead synth over to the left channel a bit, the piano seems privy to the right channel and it's kind of annoying not having a counterbalance.

4:36 was kind of dissapointing, it goes from a climax to a rather steep dropoff, in terms of sex and a cliff, respectively. Not that this track is as good as sex...not much can compare to sex.

Yeah here we go again with the piano and the dark layering.

Anyways, it's a good track, just needs a little more work. And a steady stream of emotions, not the proverbial bungee jump.

Unless you were trying to say that your soul always feels conflicted like that, in which case you did a good job.

Hey,

I got to say that though the pads in the intro-part don't actually fit in but they ARE pretty cool. Can you tell me how you create them or are they just some samples?

Me piano hater hears piano...
The bassy saw isn't really cool in my ears. Muddy. But again that's personal I think.

The build-up is cool in this track and i like the lead and melody. It gets in your head and stays there. Percussion is simple, but good!

Overall feeling about this is very good. Good job!

besides that scary pad i really liked this tune...i sense the feel in it...

baseline+base could be better but thats my taste i think.

it still needs filling alex, and a good mix..but i like the strings, and the lead i like alot!

i do think the piano should be used in the break only..but thats my taste..

like that filterd synth..

nice nice!

First of all, nice track! But it just needs some eq'ing/mastering, it's too blurry all together. You should try to give each sound a place in the frequency spectrum, more definition of the sounds will make it a great track.

And please get rid of those pads, they sound awfull and totally misplaced!!
