. I'd look around on ebay for a good deal on a *slightly* used mixer.
buy my old PMX60 mixer, its awesome...
.....it really is, its so cool it doesn't need EQs or quality, cos its that good, I will give you $100 bux if you buy it for $500, come on man, what a deal, you get a mixer and $100 bux.
try and get a tascam xs8. It's a great mixer that is basically a ecler hak320 but labeled for tascam. they are being discontinued so if you look hard you can get a $600 mixer for $150. I was gonna buy one at GC but by the time i got my paycheck they were already sold out. If not get a used gemini umx7 or umx9. Very basic and not gemini quality
i'll sell you my almost brand new numark matrix 3 for that.
If you wait and look, Stanton has it's new SMX I believe that's supposed to hit the shelves soon...3 channels, customizable faders and a sexy-as-fuck look to it as well.
For 250, it's a steal I think.
GC right now has a stanton smx501 for 200. It would be a killer deal cept i know lots of people that got those a couple years ago including me that had them die within a few months. Im sure stanton has fixed the problems w/ them and the time the mixer worked it was killer. P&G x-fader is fab!
I just picked up a Numark DM3001X for $150, seems to suit your specifications... 3-band EQ, 3 channels, kill switches for bass, treble and mid, pfl monititoring, etc. No effects or anything too fancy on it, but for $150 it's not a bad deal.
I say you wait till you get a good price from all these TA's tryin to beat eachother to sell you their old mixer. lol
Nah I got my pioneer djm-300 for 150 bucks of ebay. Fortunately it was some girls mixer and she kept it in a coffin all its life... the thing is in mint condition and works perfectly. Patience will get you the nicest condition and prices... just gotta look.
