OMFG! BT was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! One of the best sets ever!! He played Force of gavity, Mercury and Solace, Flaming June, Godspeed, Sunblind, dirty sticky floor.. What a set!!!!!! 
And wat a spunk!!!

BT was definatly awsome, which i wasnt expecting after bad reviews over the last few nights, on the laptop issue, dont laptops normally have batteries??? I got sick of breaks after a while, it felt like wherever i went the breaks followed me, i was hanging out for some trance by the end, but nonetheless an awesome night!

wasn't a bad night, saw a few of the od'ers convulsing right next to me. drugs are safe if you know what the hell your taking. these idiots dont realise the effect of GBH. to get the peak you'll have to consume just a small portion which is almost the same amount you would need to od. its a cheap gutter drug and i can see why its getting popular at $2.50 a mL (need about 3mL's to feel any effect as compared to $35.00 for a decent bikie. you do the math)
funny thing was, watching the news reports showing footage of scattered teens walking on a cold monday morning whilst the kandy kids performing the melb shuffle as their car alarms go off. now if non-educated parents watched that (majority of parents dont know shit about drugs) you'll be sure to receive a stern little lecture.
BACK TO THE EVENT. did not get to see BT was shattered. Fergie drilled in the techno which wasnt too bad. picotto didnt really tickly my fancy.
anyone know the title of the encore track he played? i was munted beyond recognition when he started his set so i'd appreciate if someone could help my neaurotransmitters function again.
what I can't believe is that nobody has really commented on chistopher lawrence. He was the guy I wanted to see most after he blew my mind at goods shed 2 yrs ago. I thought he was awsome then and just the other night fucking blew me away with the really trancey stuff at the end of his set. it was funny that everyone fucked off after BT cause I was able to get right up the front with JPL and we aere just lapping it up.
When I went into Vodaphone I only went to meet people (which was fucking hard) but evey time the music was shithouse. one alright track then a fucking shit breakdown or (god forbid) siren!!!wtf and way to many fucked up muzzas and fucked people stiing(????) on the floor. waaaay too messy for me.
I had a lot of fun and found two tribes to be a great experiment.
I went with about 25 other peoPLe...not really into dance music..just there for the party.
So we met up and they were all like "well lets go to the main room...we gotta go to vodaphone.." okay..
Walked into vodaphone and realised if I had to stay in there more than 10 minutes I would die. SO claustrophopic..the crowd was all over the shop..a lot of peoPLe with no respect. ANywayz..heard a bit of Pee Wee Ferris' set...he PLayed some good tracks but with no method or programming in mind (I found)...the peoPLe I was with had mixed reactions..half of them were jumping around, the other half looked very scared.
After the 15th breakdown in as many minutes I decided to make the move to the Rod Laver arena..thank Christ I did.
I dragged them all along and as soon as we walked in half the peoPLe said "Thankyou for bringing us in here...the music is so much more tactile..I could dance to this all night" The other half said "When's it gunna charge up in here?"
Anyways...Hybrid were fantastic..loved it. Then BT came on and I really enjoyed it...dunno if it was the state I was in or the fact I almost drowned in my Gf's eyes about ten times..but his set was great fun....lots of rock remixes blended with prog and trance..great fun. At one stage while going to the toilet I saw about 5 peoPLe sitting in the seats crying.
Then Christopher Lawrence came on...he is very unique. He had to follow a massive set of loud symphonic music and he managed to pull off a deep, groovy, very minimal set after BT. The crowd emptied a little when he started but about 20min later the arena was full again. Every time I have seen him his sound has changed greatly...He is beggining to remind me of Sven Vath. A blend of techno, trance and prog...all pure. And a great guy to boot.
Heard a little of Foort then went for a wander around..De Bang de Phunk were pretty kewl...but was knackered and went home.
Another interesting thing I found was that the peoPLe that came with me stuck in the Rod Laver arena and didnt even think about leaving until Lawrence had finished. A few of them decided to charge up towards the end and go back to Vodaphone...10 min later the msged me saying "Its no good here...going home"
All in all...great nite...the Future and Hardware rooms both looked great...twas good to catch up with all the ITMer's and TA's once again.
edit; If more progressive rooms sound like the RodLaver did on Sunday nite...well then I love progressive.

i planned to see nubreed before hybrid but i sacrificed them to have a couple of drinks with paul who couldn't make it hehe.
found a friend when i got in there and chatted for a bit then went in to see hybrid. seeing as nobody bothered to even try organise a meet up lol with our track record i went straight to the front and hoped someone else from TA would come hehe. was standing near two guys with hybrid t-shirts on who were going off, it was a great set. i don't think i've ever really seen a whole breaks set by anyone but i really enjoyed it.
some of the stuff they played was awesome, especially the first track that had a 4/4 beat, i thought it was fucking good. another highlight was hearing 'smack my bitch up' by prodigy and the breaks mix of 'chable & bonnici - ride'.
was suprised to see duncan turn up about 45 mins late for hybrid but i think something happened which delayed his arrival and he was pissed off hehe. but then he flashed his crew pass and went up and shook hands and got autographs, i think that brightened his mood
apparantly the set was being recorded and the canberra set was already out or soemthing so i'll be looking forward to downloading it.
next up...

don't know what the hell happened in the other states but it was fucking amazing i thought!!! he had the whole place going nuts!!! you look around and there are just people everywhere, the whole floor was full, and the stands were packed too!
the highlights for me were 'are you gonna go my way' which was completely unexpected and sounded great! the whole place went off to it! also 'flaming june' at the end, except he had some stupid acapalla over it that sounded like salt n pepa or something to me 
it was easily the highlight of the night for me and i'm glad i stayed for his whole set 
after that christopher lawrence was on. the only thing i heard from him was a guest mix on j00f's radio show which i didn't really enjoy. but he started off alright, it was a bit hard because we were all on a high from BT and everyone left hehe. so he had a hard act to follow, didn't quite keep the energy going at the start but it still sounded good. tracks i recognised were 'john 00 fleming feat. miika kuisma - finnished' which when we heard showed lawrence stipsy's j00f t-shirt and he laughed hehe. also heard 'igor s - boomerang' and when i left to check out the other arena's it sounded like he was playing some goa or something, it was good!
next up i checked out the last 20 mins or so of vitalic. everyone was going on about him on ITM before hand so i thought i would see what all the fuss was about, but it seemed kinda boring to me. i stayed until the end but it didn't get much better. i then went outside and checked out koma & bones or whatever their names was. they were pretty good, more breaks but i was really enjoying it especially at the end. they also played 'smack my bitch up' like hybrid. maybe there is a new remix doing the rounds on cd-r or something. it was good anyway
then i headed back to rod laver to see lucien foort. i needed a rest at this point so i just sat in the stands for a while. he was playing some banging stuff, it seemed like prog and breaks but at like +5 or something hehe. he played a coldplay track, i think 'the scientist' but don't know. i was enjoying that then decided to go for another walk after my legs had been rested.
went down to the cafe arena to check out steve but when i got there it was empty and they were telling people to leave! they decided to close the room or soemthing 45 mins early so that was a shame. so i chatted to chris and steve for a bit then went to see the end of picotto.
got in and he was playing his last track which sounded crap to me. but his encore's were funny haha. this guy started taking picottos clothes off lol. they threw his singlet in the crowd but it didnt get very far so someone on the stage gave it back to him and he threw it back into the crowd hehe. then after one encore we started to leave and he played another track. then the guy who was taking picotto's clothes off started scratching and playing with the record, it actually sounded alright i thought, was laughing anyway. then the future guy was pointing to his watch saying we have to stop now and someone turned the turntable off or soemthing but they started it up again lol. it was great hehe.
then walked back out and found renegade again and walked down to the station and went home saw one of the ambulances when we were leaving.. 
not good.
so on a night when i wasn't really hanging out to see anyone in particular i still really enjoyed it. i didn't have any credit on my mobile which meant i couldn't organise to find and meet people hehe but i still managed to catch up with who i wanted to. apart from the number of ambulances called which hopefully won't do too much damage in the media and the community i had a great time

This incorporated Medevent (a recognized major event medical facility) being on-site with 16 emergency room doctors and nurses. "The Medevent team set up two mini-emergency rooms at our events to give patrons in need of help the best possible treatment prior to being transported to hospital if required." The average response time with Medevent is just two minutes as there are several roving teams stationed around the venue in radio contact with security staff who have been briefed on procedure should a medical situation arise. The press release goes on to say that the system ensures patrons that require medical assistance are being assessed and treated by on-site doctors, not merely first aid staff. "Following consultation with Medevent, we can confirm that there were eight transportations from our Two Tribes event, of which only five were for GBH substance abuse, rather than the 11 reported in the media. (The remainder made up of a dislocated shoulder and two non-substance related seizures.)" Medevent also informed the organisers that all patrons that required transportation have now been released from hospital. "We are grateful for the exemplary work Medevent do at these events and are sure there is no better care we can provide for our patrons." As far as the Ravesafe organisation is concerned, they were asked not to attend the Two Tribes events. "Their attendance can sometimes confuse the communication channels in case of emergency. They are not qualified to treat people where as the Medevent team are." As far as GBH is concerned, the FE/Hardware spokesperson stated "we are alarmed by an apparent general proliferation of this substance, and acknowledge the damaging effects that it is having on those people that choose to take it.We call on all people that are considering the use of GBH not to involve themselves with this substance. The consequences of it well outweigh any perceived benefits. " There is reported to be an average of 12 cases of this type of overdose hitting hospital emergency rooms per weekend in both Melbourne and Sydney. "To this end, we call on governments to increase spending on drug awareness strategies and to cease simplifying the debate by singling out scapegoats. It is a sensitive community issue that needs to be addressed." FE and Hardwares final comments were. "As major players in the youth market we are indeed prepared to sit in consultation with the government in regards to this issue.
