Rewire FL into cubase...

So I hear that the new FL is now able to Rewire into cubase.... I'm really not to clear as to what the whole "Rewire" does and how it functions, so if someone could explain that would be great...

Because lets say I'm using FL standalone and I have made a nice beat and everything is playing in FL on dif tracks or whatever... and let's say I "Rewire" FL to cubase, can I switch them over exactly how they are playing onto cubase tracks?

I dono if that makes sense but someone explain the Rewire function, Thx!
