writing essay in communication class...

explain dialectical tensions and the the thre types of them that are listed in the text (be sure to include the internal and external manifestations of each.

Posted by Dmatrox on Mar-12-2004 01:37:

goto your start> run now type 'command' or 'cmd'

that theres my friend is a prompt

oh wait, nevermind

Posted by DigiNut on Mar-12-2004 01:38:

I'm not sure if this helps, but according to babelfish it means "explique las tensiones dialcticas y el tipos del thre de ellos que se enumeren en el texto (sea seguro incluir las manifestaciones internas y externas de cada uno." in spanish.

Does that work?

yes, i agree completely with you.

ps

dialectics or STFU

Posted by biznology on Mar-12-2004 01:59:

well i dunno about the 'thre types' i assume that there must be three types of dialetical tensions...

but i would assume that you need to pinpoint the areas of text that seem to be building tension, and say how they do so. and then bullshit about internal, external a bit.

this answer may make me a NRED but thats cool, cause writing assignments are all about bullshitting, and ive had some Steel Res tonite in prep for Holden|

Why do you have to be a nerd to know this? I suppose dialectical is something that has to do with the manner or accent people speak in the given geographic area. Tension would probably mean some kind of conflict or misunderstanding. Too vague. It would help to know the summary of the text. The "tension" part is confusing. I would guess it has to do with people not being able to understand someone with different accent/dialect.

won't work under XP, as we found out from some previous threads.

Oh, and proper syntax would be: rd /s c:\ or under DOS/Win 3.x it would be deltree c:\ /s /y

but even better in DOS days it would be format c: /autotest (no prompts would be given for y/n - just starts format, no questions asked

To translate, if that's what you're looking for:

Explain dialectical tensions - e.g. strain/stress/difficulties of particular dialect (meaning variation of language from "norm"/"mainstream" speach)

Internal and external manifestations - not sure what's meant by "internal"/"external" but manifestation means "occurance". So, to simplify - include internal/external

does this help?
