While no one likes war, Freedom is NOT free...

Which is? To create stability? Sure in some cases but war also creates instabilitiy and even more chaos...

Agreed, however we already have freedom, and war is not necessarily about a threat to our freedom.

However freedom is not a static, utopian ideal...it is constantly being challenged...

*firstly im an athiest, and dont believe in any religion/god etc."

in my opinion, the cause of war is: religon. everyone has their own opinions, so no offense. i dont think war will stop until this belief of various religons exists. there shuld be just 1 religon, that way there wouldnt be any war.

once again no offense to anyone here, peace.

I think an anti-war protest is about as pointless as a gay rights parade.

And by this, im not taking a shot at gays....i just think gays shouldnt try and put themselves in the spotlight to provoke attention. Ok, what were we talking about again?

i disagree, there a lot more reasons other than religion

Oh yeah, anti-war protest. Like who the hell are you trying to send a message to? The Canadian government?? Dont get it.

Likewise. Like, come on, if it was that simple, do you not think we'd have this shit resolved much sooner?

Posted by DigiNut on Mar-13-2004 15:27:

Is there by any chance a pro-war protest? And do we get to bring Ginsus and AK-47s and have ourselves a little mini skirmish?

P.S. Agree with both Jeffs here.

in case you missed it

Toronto march was about 8000 strong (newspapers are reporting 1000, but they took that count after the main march, during the speeches.... THERE WAS A LOT MORE THAN 1000 during the big March)
