Jonny Vicious ???

Anyone ever here anything about him...as a DJ, I think he produces too. He will be spinning in Orlando in the near future, and he is labeled as Hard Trance on the venue. We dont get much hard trance through here so I thought it might be cool to check out.

Anyones opinions on him or his shows would be appreciated.

-thanks-

He's not the greatest, but if that's all you can see in your area, go check him out. I checked him in June, and he played a few solid tracks, such as Faithless - We Come 1, Madonna - What It Feels Like(A&B rmx) & Coast to Coast - Home. He definitely doesn't have the newest records out, but you'll probably hear a few tunes you like atleast. He's production is suspect at best.

Worm Popper

JV is known for tracks such as Lula-Ecstasy(Take your shirts off) I wouldn't classify that as trance. I only heard him spin once at Sound Factory here in NYC back in fall of 99. He was ok....didn't move me to stay there all nite. But I remember him spinning mostly house....has he changed styles or is my memory all messed?

Thumbs up Johnny Vicious

I've seen Johnny Vicious live a few times, last time was back in January in Miami, and that night he was totally off the hook, played alot of hard trance and club music, I wouldn't classify him as being a Hard Trance DJ though, he spins a variety of uplifting and hard trance to hard house. He got his start playing the gay circuits, that's where he really gained his popularity. He is definitely worth checking out.

he was here(calgary) 2 weeks ago. I didnt go, but from what Ive been told, he had a Decent(not great) set, but got showed up by the local warm up DJs(this is not uncommon in calgary)

I think hes ok nothing great though. I recommend that you check out:

u2 - streets have no name (johnny vicious bootleg house remix) IMO its a pretty decent track

He did Club Nation American which was all mainstream trance, but it was good. Cant say about his mixing cause I dont think CNA is a live mix. He did do "Here With Me" which was a pretty good track.

Thumbs up

I saw him at his MOS release party at Factory couple of months ago. He destroyed us! Killer set! Technically & track selection wise he's slamming!

I saw him a couple of months ago and he was definitely spinning some hard trance. George Acosta's "Taken Over Space" was one of the tracks that I remember hearing. I think that he may have also played DJ Scot Project's "Overdrive" that night.
