Posted by djSlain on Aug-14-2001 22:53:

hmmm, i never listen to rap or RnB or any of that pop stuff.
sometimes i'll sit down to listen to a select choice of rock, like Nirvana or Smashing Pumpkins, but that's all.

Hello!

i love trance dont get me wrong, but before i decsovered it i was an old skool ska punker heh. Im also down with alternative stuff as well. never liked hip hop, rap crap, or country. but i love blink 182, NFG, sum 41, rancid etc. etc.... that list goes on. but no matter where i go or what im doing the trance tunes are always playin'. what can i say trance is an 'addiction' im glad i have.
peace

Aside from trance I listen to LOTS of stuff, and I also sing in a rock band (heh heh)! Bands I like off the top of my head are:

nine inch nails
deftones
glassjaw
tool
perfect circle
pig
smashing pumpkins
stp
david bowie
garbage
our lady peace
catherine wheel
radiohead
front 242
5 line legacy

As well as some other industrial groups, sometimes classical music, chillout music, mellow d n'b, retro, oldies, techno, jungle, SOME house, SOME r n' b, and SOME hip hop/rap.

But I listen top trance (all types of) definetly 99% of the time!

Btw, ABT I love Mazzy Star! 'Fade Into You' is my favourite tune of hers!

thanks yellow...

answer: hehe no worries, just more of a "music discussion" thread than a "chillout room" thread

Trancefusion: LOL! Next time all you have to do is press the edit/delete button under your post on the right and you can correct mistakes like that! Peace.

when I'm not listening/spinning to trance. I listen to what is considered now "classic european dance music", stuff I grew up on.

It's funny, guess where those originate from? you guessed it, GERMANY, ITALY, HOLLAND, AND SPAIN.

sometimes in my car, I'll listen to whatever is on the radio.

Posted by Tranz on Aug-15-2001 00:07:

If I'm not listening to "trance,"
I'm probably listening to 80's music...
or old rock; Doors, Pink Floyd, etc...
You can learn alot from these particular genres...
Why do you think these remixes keep popping up so often?
Alot of us grew up on other types of music,
and alot of producers put their perspective of the song into the remixes.... which sometimes makes for a better song.

NY/Deep/Jazzy House

WEll, New Age is great, such as Enigma and Enya. Also, Im into the sounds of Savage Garden, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, maddonna ( dont laugh ! hehe ) and yeah, some alternative

Posted by XxClayxX on Aug-15-2001 04:21:

I like all different kinds of music my favorite bands are:

311
Sublime
Deftones

I don't really care to much for rap r&b or other "ghetto" music but I do like a few older songs for groups like wu-tang. the only hip hop that i really listen to now is by a group called Dead Prez

Besides that its pretty much just electronica besides Trance I don't really prefer one genre over the other if I just listen to the tracks that I like even if some of theme are cheese

Posted by TyBy7996 on Aug-15-2001 05:00:

yeah I could listen to pretty much anything else but hip hop,it was ok when i was like in middle school but it is just getting way out of hand.
i like some pink floyd, sublime, i listen to some country music sometimes too.

-ABT-

BTW - if anyone has the time i recommend the download for Mazzy Star - Into Dust (if you like peaceful/calm/vocals.....)
