Mini Ipod...worth the money?

Hi, just seeking some advice here...wondering if its worth it, or should i get the $300 one for 15GB or jus consider something else altogether...

Nope...for the same price you can get an Archos 20 gig player I think.

You might want to reconsider buying an IPod because of Apple's totally ignorant issue with the IPod battery. The battery is a built in one and when it dies, and one day it certainly will (usually after 18 months), you will have to get a replacement battery for 100 bucks. Check this out:

You are much better spending your money on another MP3 player.

check iRiver, they offer Mp3 players in all forms, and are very comparable to ipods, but cheaper and they provide you with all accessories, unlike Mac products which require you to buy Firewire adapters in you use a PC for example|

no, ipods should die. i'm not too fond of mp3 players myself. why not get a cd/mp3 player or, for that much money, why not buy a freaking turntable instead??

Ipod hands down - nuff said. And if you have many gigs of music, then get the 15GB - wont regret it.

Why get a laptop if could get a desktop?

Why get headphones if you could use speakers?

Cd/mp3 players are alright, but with mp3 players, you dont need to bring cds, if an ipod or similar you just put it in your pocket, like your cell phone, but its a bit heavier.

Ive had my 10gb ipod for a long time now, the only complaint i have is not enough battery life.

thats looks alright, has nice features too. Do you know how big it is relative to other objects?

Another plus for iPOd is firewire, its faster than the USB2 that the others use.

had mine for almost two years now, i think.
it's been a while.
no problems at all. a ten gig is probably all you will need.
the mini is cute, good for a girl.
is it worth the money. i say yes, if you got it to spend.

Uh, 256MB vs. Ipod? I'll take the Ipod in this situation.

i think its the size factor - if you expect competition towards the ipod:

40GB|

That thing is nice looking, about how much does one cost and how long is the battery life?

Posted by EriK_V on Mar-13-2004 06:33:

why would you want a block in your pocket?

Posted by pyro on Mar-13-2004 06:48:

minidisc all the way. i would never consider an iPod, although i would consider a MP3 player with lots of storage space.

not sure, but i think the iPod (or iRiver for that matter) may have a slightly better chance of fitting in your pocket.. ?
