need help with essay

I'm writing an essay about Multinational Corporations and ethics. I'de like your points of view regarding the issue. I would especially like to read the neoliberal point of view on why MNCs are good for the world and third world countries. I already know a lot about the leftist point of view. And what do you think should be done?

they help create jobs. they also put investment money in third world countries. they also help the free econmy to do things where they are best at it...

Hmmm..Multinationals

You could use Tyco and Dennis Kozlowski/Mark Schwartz as a negative example. You could also use the Heinz company and talk about what hypocrites Teresa Heinz/John Kerry are. You might could use some Japanese car companies as examples--If I'm not mistaken, the code of ethics in Japanese companies is very different from an American company(not necessarily better, just different culturally).

What do you mean "What should be done"? What should be done about what?

You could talk about how they fuck up the cultures of other areas. I read an interesting true story in Spanish last year where this Peruvian chain of villages were pretty much destroyed culturally because of multinational corporations.

ok yes there is:

it mainly is a point that a country also has power over MNC, it doesn't want MNC it will throw them out. MNC bring with them investment, roads, infastructure, education, and over time they will create new markets, employ more people, make more jobs, and be better for the thrid world.

People will argue but you pay only $.50 a day for the guy in the factory. Yes MNC might pay him $.50, but without the MNC he wouldn't have a job, or he would be getting $.15 a day.

Business simply creates business its that simple. Of course nations want to make sure they are not abusive, but this as important in the first world as the third.

The greatest risk takers however will always remain the MNC, if they don't feel confident they are working with a friendly government, they are not going to invest millions if they fear the government will kick them out, or confiscate the plant and machinary in ten years.

A good example you might want to use is the MNC going to India, and how this is forecasted to actually increase and create a substantial middle class there.
