Going to Rio - please help :)

hi guys! i'm going to rio in a few weeks. i'll be there april 8th through 14th. could you please let me know what the dance sceene is like and where can i go and if you know of any parties there at that time? i really appreciate any info i can get. this will be my first time there.

p.s. sorry for the english in the portuguese thread.

I didn't actually have much of a problem navigating it but have a few questions:

- Is Skol Beats only once a year - and only in Sao Paulo?

- How many people went last year? What is the planned date for 2005?

- What's the deal with the Skol Beats Beer? Just a branding thing? Do they promote the party on the label or sponsor club nights around the country with it or something?

It's most for show his brand on tv and try to get people drinking skol beats beer.

They can lower financial brazilian taxes by making a cultural events (they do other events in all over the country).

I think it's once a year, but i don't know how much people was on the last one.

There's other great events like: Tim Festival http://www.timfestival.com.br/ (a celular phone company) and the XXXperience rave http://www.xxxperience.com.br wich travels many cities over the country.

well i don�t know who is going to play here in brazil in april but in january picotto,richie hawtin and tiesto will play in diferent parts of brazil...in this weekend digweed is going to play near sp.We have good house and techno dj�s in sp...trance is not popular here.Who is coming to sp i recommend clubs like lov.e club ,d-edge,sirena...and more underground like "susi in transe" and "a loca".The main sound in these clubs is techno,breaks,house.
Skol beat only happens once a year i think it will be in march or april and it�s only in sp...i heard some gossips it will happen in another states.
There are the raves the main sound is psy...if u like it�s good.
