Is it true?

I just went down to the L.A. area to do some record shopping, and every store I went in down the Melrose Ave area told me that they don't have any psy trance because that music is dead. Tell me that's not true. I'm from the bay area and it's pretty hard to find some good psy, but now I'm kinda of worried. I love psy and I just wanted to know who else here feels the same way i do?

as if people in LA have a clue

no it's not dead and it never died. It's still big and you still have people turning out releases often. John 00 Fleming plays psy trance and others and it is far from dead. Tell them to get a clue about music...they probably got mixed up with goa trance..which got popular then went back underground like it should.

Well I'm no expert in psy-trance, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the people you talked to are dumbasses.

hey man, dont make such a generalized statment, they just dont stock those records because their is no demand really around here, well not sure about that but i would guess that is why they dont stalk them, better way to just get them online

1.) www.only-djs.com i know shipping can be expensive but the best thing to do is put like a monthes worth of records into one wish list and then order all at once.

2.) www.satelliterecords.com their psy trance has gone down a lot, but for techy-psy trance (JooF stuff) they are actually decent.

3.) Chemicalrecords.co.uk will probably give u the best selection.

I do not know many psy trance record co. websites, but i recomend looking on there to see what links they have for a 'buy this record' option(assuming there is a 3rd party).
