Might be another Resident Evil/House of the Dead wannabe, but I still wanna check this flick out.

Posted by Tranceporter99 on Mar-16-2004 03:46:

Yeah I think I might have saw the same trailer, it felt like forever and was the whole of the commercials for that break. it looks cool but just looks like an americanized version of 28 days later

Posted by Atma on Mar-16-2004 04:06:

It's a remake of Dawn of The Dead from 1978.

Posted by beema on Mar-16-2004 04:09:

woohoo, another remake
original movies these days are far and few between...

"Dawn of the Dead," directed by the infamous George Romero, was originally made in 1978. As attested to by the games' creators, the Resident Evil series was heavily influenced by this movie.

Haha, that's a pretty funny statement. 28 Days Later and all zombie movies copy off of the original Dawn of the Dead. Dawn of the Dead is the original zombie horror movie and was filmed at the Monroeville Mall which is less than a 5 min drive from my house.

Can't wait to check this remake out, it looks pretty good.

Wouldn't Night of the Living Dead (1968) be the original Zombie Horror Movie?

I wouldn't go for this film (the trailer tells me enough)
but i actualy found "28 days later" good ... quite interesting.

both r not my time of film anyway. N i might be wrong about "dawn of the dead"

...and my mom's bf's knows a guy who supplied paint for that movie!!!

This movie looks like a much better incarnation of the Resident Evil games; especially RE2. I wish the Resident Evil movie was never made It's so shit

HappyHappy haha

I am so going to watch this movie, i loved the part when the husband ran after the chicks car but all the suden ran into this womens house and ate her, plus that part was so freaky when this same chick looked into the bus or van , and two dudes were eating that one chick

im waiting for the trailer to load, and before i post my thoughts on it... id just like to point out, that it is physically impossible for a new horror flick to be scary or indeed good... i watch almost every horror flick that hits the screens and theyre all really dissappointing or just plain shit.
i seem to recall jeepers creepers being the quoted as being the scariest movie in the last 10 years, both jeepers creepers 1 and 2 are probably 2 of the mentally numbing movies ive ever seen, not scary, not good, and not even near worth 5 quid in to the cinema for. same as freddy vs jason, resident evil was boring and not scary, underworld... crap... etc etc etc.

i just hope this is different. as a horror fanatic i simply cant keep watching those of the 80's and early 90's forever.

They showed 10 minutes preview on tv tonight and it looks it will have lots of gore in it

Been waiting for this film for a while now, out on the 19th March in England. The original was a classic, so I cant wait for this. Horror films are probably the best genre of film.

** cue flame war over best genre (again ) **

Wait... that means you live 5 minutes away from MY house..

Don't eat my brain Chris - apparantly I might need it one day.

Posted by AlphaStarred on Mar-16-2004 15:02:

i loved Night Of The Living Dead (1990) a remake, i suppose, which also featured the guy from Candyman
Resident Evil is a serious game, as well, especially the first one

Posted by Sean Walsh on Mar-16-2004 16:21:

This looks fooking sweet! I thought The Ring was pretty scary, but yeah Jeepers Creepers was wank.

Posted by djSlain on Mar-16-2004 17:10:

I just recently bought all the "****of the dead series". I haven't watched them yet, but i hear George Romero is a genius of horror. I definently want to see this new one for sure. They end of the trailer where all the hands are touching the screen is scary, reminds me of intro credits in the korean horror "The Eye"

Posted by Aya Brea on Mar-16-2004 18:34:

i'm definitely seeing it
