review...

get to the club about 10:45, they were pouring the drinks EXTREMELY weak. 2 gin & tonics in about 30 mins and i'm not feeling much. 8 gin and tonics later i was a *bit* intoxicated.

the opening dj was GREAT. at the end of his set he even dropped sasha & emerson - scorchio and star 69. can't say i've ever heard either live before, so that was a real treat.

max comes on...club is not packed, and it's a VERY small place. sound system is rather wank as well. felt so bad for him. other than for myself, and maybe 10 others, no one had any idea who he was. he kept looking for reactions from the crowd, and didn't get much. drowning himself in coronas...

props to max though. he played a WICKED set, despite the less than appreciating crowd, which was perfect because i was so in the mood for some good prog. at one point, i was standing next to the opening dj on the dance floor and i gave him props for playing some classics. i asked him if he knew what track max was playing and it was luke chable - ??? i couldn't hear him... sooo good though. couldn't id anything max played...haha. take me to pvd and i've got most...wanted to find out more about the opening dj but he wasn't too talkative.

all in all a good night out. max played for about 3.5 hours. he had me dancing, he even had GREG dancing.

raveed: great to see you and your crew again! tell all i said hi!

nursed a hangover the next day and got some sushi with my lil' sister before heading back to the 'cuse.

left my cell phone in rochester, so i'm gonna have to make a trip back there some evening. what a shame, get to hit up The Old Toad-a great english pub with english ales...i'm gonna be in heaven...

until later...

The opening dj was a man named Jonathan Heart. He's a great dj and a good friend. Does a lot of production work with Mark Omni.

I have to say i was more than surprised seeing how empty the club was ... couple months back when Bad Boy Bill was here it took us over an hour to get into the club but this time we walked rite in ... but i guess it was all good since there was plenty of room to dance .... Max was awesome .. 1st time seeing him and he did not disappoint ... hilite of the nite was hearing U2 - With or Without you (??? remix) .. still tryin to find out which one ....

caryn it was nice meeting you again .. had been a while

all in all a gr8 nite out

cheers

it was good. If only they put some alcohol in their longdrinks! oh and if some more people knew how to dance :P

I did enjoy myself GREATLY!

Yeah, that sucks that when I finally graduate, the Western NY area has some decent events... Transport 4 I was listening to in my car on the way home from work... excellently mixed album. But that's really cool, I'd love to see Max play.

dont feel bad for me at all (best job in the world anyone?)...i thought it was a great night...i love starting before the club is full...playing the more chill anticipation tunes before getting into it...

the night rocked...plenty of up for it people, beautiful girls...i signed quite a few records of mine so i can't say it wasn't a good corwd for me to play for (signing = people did know who i was)
