Hey all,
I've uploaded an older track of mine, which didn't get any interest from labels, even after being on a dozen of promo cd's. Since I won't change anything anymore to the track, you can leave being constructive for once if you want. So if you're just looking for somebody to flame at...

*Cool opening fx.
*Bass at begining is a bit too present, it annoys me in a way..
*Very nice build up, energy in a controlled way. Thumbs up!
*Nice pads.
*Change in chords is brilliant!
*Break: Upcoming piano not to good IMO, but the rest is awesome!

*The synth and the snareroll sound a bit too raw, i mean, it's very clear and all, but i would've put slightly more reverb on the synth, or back it off a bit. I would've tried too create even more room.

loving the intro..the nice lead in it, veryyyy relaxing, volume of the synth is a bit low, not alot but a bit i think.
very cool fx work so far
the break is nice, the piano is bit muddy though not clear enough.
the lead is very nice and alot of emotion in it.

sounds very nice wim, only one thing, i think its mastered a bit too "high", it needs more low

Don't know why,but your tune reminds me of GTR - Mistral... Maybe the same sequence for main synth ?And I have to agree with precedent comment about high and low frequencies.
Anyway the tune is nicely produced.
Thanks for the comments peepz. I know about the high freqs, I only noticed this on my new comp though. My high comp had a bad treble setting, which made me equalize my tracks too high... Sorry bout that.

Dude, you release so much stuff it's easy to take for granted and not listen to it. But I am going to make more of a point cos this is good stuff!
I like it, I like your emotional expression, I like the softness of the textures you are using, I like the way you are putting across how you felt at the time in the tune, so that I can feel it too!

Fantastic intro.
That kick is by far the best kick I've ever heard on a TA track here. Perfectly round with a nice bounce. HiHats sound extremely impressing aswell.Love the little bongo, with the delay a bit after. Pads in the background ar seemlessly mixed. Amazing.
I didn't think much of 1st chord change tho, felt like somethiong bigger was coming. But once the piano arp come in it flowed SO well,tho as I think some1else has mentioned, the piano could be better.Its still brilliant and better then my piano's, but I have heard there are some amazing sample based vsti's out on the market at the mo.Can't remember any names.
Lovely drop, sounds quite dark. Don't really like the 1st lead, think you need something with rounder qualities. Something bouncier.

I just posted on a previous track saying it was my fave TA track of 2004, but I then listened to this. Amazing.
Should send this out to some labels again. Maybe do a rework if you think you can get a better sound out of it. I would definetly buy this.

Great bass in the intro! Good effects! Good pads and a nice soft Melody in the beginning. It is definetly creating a nice atmosphere at this moment.
Nice claps at 1 minute into the song. The KICK is very nice mate! All of the instruments, seem to fit together, which I find some artists have trouble with these days. At around 1:40, I love how the counter melodies start coming in, which add more depth, and emotion. The track becomes full, as the time passes, and your 'dedictation' to this track is definetly giving it character.
The pianos have a classy sound to them. I loved the reverse piano stroke, leading into that main lead. The sounds of wind, and the chorus, definetly added some emotion and power to the break.
The melody during the break...WOW! BEAUTIFUL MATE! BEAUTIFUL!
Your synth programming has improved SO MUCH! The main lead has a nice thick feel to it, which I DEFINETLY enjoy! Dude man, this stuff has power!
Excellent pro synth work, great melodies, great sounds, great atmosphere, and an amazing attitude that you are displaying Wim aka Lightworks/Icone. Signed or not, you are a master at your sound. Continue the excellent work mate.
In fact, this song has a personal meaning to me now. This song especially. This song definetly contains hidden messages, that perhaps some people may not hear, or understand. I commend you for this emotional piece of art! I love this song mate! Keep it up!

I can't help if a label doesn't hear anything in it (Somatic Sense was one of them), I can only try by sending it to them, trying to persuade in a 'discrete' way
Since nobody wanted it, I just labeled it 'nothing special'. Jezper (Airbase) told me that if a label doesn't take on a track, it's no hit (thus every signed track is a hit); it has 'nothing special'. I kinda went along with that, for this one
Maybe the piano has a dull sound to it cause I mastered it wrong... Maybe I will eventually make an updated version
