Boudoir Studios

Hi everyone,

I'm a mature student studying Digital Media in Leeds and I have just finished building a site for a client in London as part of my course.

http://www.camerasinteractive.com/boudoir/

I need as many people as possible to fill out the Feedback form on the site for my assignment.

Your help would be very welcome!

Let me know if you have any comments on the site

Thanks!

Negative Feedback

1. The first intro page. the background to the flash is a differnt grey to the site html ? i recommend you use transparency flash bg.

2. The intro page is very important and needs to give the surfer some info rather than a fancy animation. I don't think the link to macromedia site is right too it is the same size as your main intro area, id create a little text link basically a text link saying Not Loaded Go here or Download Flash. Also i would create a table 100% W & H and place the flash in there, as ppl with small res will still be able to view it.

3. There is nothing in the Status Menu Bar, always nice to view some text in there, even if its just "loaded" or "complete"

4. Once you have entered to the main page, you are prompt by a up and down layer thats gets very annoying,

5. The rollovers are a bit slow, ppl with 56k modems would have difficulty viewing it.

6. The background looks like it has been tiled with the win95 free background bmp's and they do not look very proffesional. the buttons could be more proffesional too looks like there a wizard generated by paint shop pro.

7. Lack of information , if i was not a music fan i would have no idea why i was on that page,

Positve Feedback

1. It looks like you have some nice knowledge of flash, working with timers and layers etc, and i like the transparency load options on each button at the below page.

If i was designing a music site i would create a html format with flash embedded and use the CSS styles along with flash, also i would stick with W3 Standards.

Just curious How long have you been studying.....?

Thanks for all your comments - its good to get some critical ones as well

This is the third Flash site I have built for my degree, so I'm still learning.

I'm sorry there isnt much textual content.

The track info for why oh why should be up soon - Im not sure if it's been released. I'll try and find out...

Thanks again for all your help!

Cheers
