The official status of Markus w/ AvB in San Francisco and LA...
OK, just so everyone sees this, I started a new thread...
All of us probably know about how there's been quite a bit of confusion as to whether Markus would be playing with Armin when AvB comes to SF on April 2nd and in LA on April 3rd.
For weeks, we have been hearing from Markus' side that he would be coming. Markus himself has said so, as recently as Sunday night.
But at the same time, Spundae has stated Markus was not coming...as recently as Saturday night.
To clear up confusion, Markus' wife, Heather, talked to Dave Lewis this morning to see exactly what was up because as far as they knew Markus was in fact going to play with AvB...
But, it's not to be. 
Heather confirmed with Dave Lewis this morning that Markus _WILL NOT_ be playing with Armin on April 2nd and April 3rd.
Why? Because Spundae/Godskitchen was so impressed with Markus at the Spundae/Godskitchen party in Miami, Spundae does not want to book him as an opener, but rather a headliner...
So in time, Markus WILL be out here, but as a headliner.
End of story.

I was gonna go to Spundae on April 3rd, but only to catch Markus. But now that u confirmed that he is NOT going to open for AVB, I'm not going to head to Spundae on that night anymore.

it's all about the money...and if spundae can fill up the club twice instead of once...it's a sound business decision on the part of Spundae (and probably not bad for markus to get said headline status).
Of course I can say that since I wasn't planning on flying to this event.
makes sence to have him as a headliner..armin alone will sellout..i am still goin to this. 4 hr of trance is good enuf 4 me..i will catch markus when he is here for sure.

yeah i dont think he can carry the night by himself..he is not that known..but since spundae knows armin will sellout by himself, they might team markus with some other superstar DJ to sellout that night too..like markus and marco v or john00fleming or gab&dresden something like that..
I emailed the Main guy at Spundae LA and ill see what he says.

Yeah, you heard that from me...in the first post of this thread 
The question still remains is which cities if Spundae does this...cause honestly, I think Ten15 would be a bit empty if he'd headlined here...not many people know him here at all. It would take a great attempt and getting people to come via word of mouth....but we got a good crowd to come out on a Tuesday night for him in Oakland in November, so I would think we could get a good crowd into Ten15 if we told everyone and their mother they better come.
LA would get a decent sized crowd no matter what, but don't think he'd pack Circus.
Honestly, I think it would have been best for him to come out here with AvB this time around, but that's just me.

Actually, until last Monday or maybe Tuesday, Markus and Heather seriously thought Markus was playing with Armin here in SF and down in LA...
I finally went straight to Markus and Heather myself and told them everything I've been told (that Spundae said he is not playing and that Dave Lewis told Spundae he was not sending anyone with Armin) and then they talked to Dave Lewis themselves since I probably baffled them abit...and then Heather got back to me saying that what I heard was correct, Markus would not be playing...
And she said Dave Lewis told her the reason why is Spundae/Godskitchen wanted to reschedule Markus as a headliner after Markus impressed them so much at the Spundae/Godskitchen party (Armada night) at WMC.
So as Heather put it, it's both "good news and bad news I guess."
