Posted by ThomB on Mar-16-2004 20:13:

Nobody at all in this thread has claimed that.

Tiesto tracks never take very long to get released anyway, might as well wait a couple of months till its out for £5...

Posted by rainbow_marble on Mar-16-2004 22:37:

i heard it was 40p for the record and a HJ

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on Mar-16-2004 23:52:

it was for £25 on www.buythatrecord.com about 4 weeks ago... when the title wasn't even known to me.. snapped up one of those :P

Posted by SeeK on Mar-17-2004 00:04:

if its 1 of 100 i think that means its a rare vinyl, hence your paying for its rareness...

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on Mar-17-2004 01:58:

yeah its just the money grabbing bastards at globalgroove who think they can sell their shit really high cos some poor guy out there desperate for it would pay the money.

Mike - if PvD played a shit hot tune u wanted - but never released it... u saw it in a shop for £40... you wouldn't even think of the consequence it'd be in your pocket... so u can't give any shit to tiesto or his fans for coughing up this money for a promo copy of this record.

Michaelboogard : Full rips or STFU!!!

And I'm pretty sure Mikey Mike wouldn't spend a lot of cash on a plastic disc... i know he didn't cough up 50 quids for john rees's if i'm not mistaken...or did he??

Posted by jamiepollock643 on Mar-17-2004 23:58:

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on Mar-18-2004 01:12:

Posted by jamiepollock643 on Mar-18-2004 19:29:

I did not.

Good on you mikey

Those who already own this disk please be kind enough to rip it for us already!!

Posted by noelsanger on Mar-19-2004 05:28:

please guys...

just because some shop has the cojones to sell the tune for an ungodly amount, please do not feel justified in ripping and sharing this tune. or any tune. if its in someones mix set, i guess thats ok, but i kinda think piracy is undermining the viability of the dance scene. i cant blame all our woes on the downloading and i'm not trying to come across as some sort of internet sherriff, but guys, come on... try to see the other side... maybe tijs isnt exactly hurting for the cash, but there is a whole "middle class" of producers who don't do it full time any more. because we have day jobs. medway (hooj, GU) and i both now teach at fullsail here in orlando, and in a year, that guy's barely finished 4 tunes. so it's worth thinking about... ppl like medway should be doing more than 4 tunes a year. it benefits dance music to have ppl like that being prolific. soon i will have affordable DL's on www.noelsanger.com and several other download sites, and i hope other's do the same. and as for mixes, i will have those streaming for free. music should be available, and i hate to see promos going for 40p but nothing in the implied contract of that purchase entitles you to become the second tier distributor of that music. if i release a free DL on my site or something then cool, share away, but you have to have respect for the wishes of the music's creator.

i'm as eager as anyone for what's next in the music business, as i think this old model is dead. we are in an uncomfortable transition period. just please lets have respect for each other, yeah?
