I will be there for sure. Bad thing is I have to be at work @ 8:00 a.m. the next day over 100 miles away. If it was anything like last time it will be way worth it. Gabriel & Dresden are amazing!!!!

I'll be there too for sure. First time ever going to the 1015 as well. Gotta thank Dave for all the info, otherwise I'd never have known about it and hence not be going tomorrow night. I should be easy to spot: I'll be wearing a dark gray collared shirt with dress pants playing around with some purple glow sticks in the main room. On second thought, maybe I won't be that easy to spot...

saw dave dresden in london last weekend - was and AMAZING set!! only went for 2 hours though... wish i could be there for a 5 hr one.

Cool pics Dave. Now I know what you look like. I was lookin' for you around the dance floor, but I had no luck. But then, trying to find someone amid a crowded dance room, with crazy ass psychedlic lighting effects, while only relying on some small avatar as a basis for the person's features, really doesn't work well.

I had a good time though. If it wasn't for a bad stomach cramp that hit me during 1 a.m., I would have enjoyed the later part of the set more. Seeing G&D up there though was kick ass. Truly an experience. I didn't realize how short Josh Gabriel is. I was trying to take pics and his head barely peaked over the laptop. Ah well. I shoulda took pics from up in the booth too. Damn. Anyways. Good set, good night, good crowd. Wished there were more single girls that night though, and a little less Asian dominated. BTW, I should have my pics up on the Net soon, possibly tomorrow. I'll post 'em on TA once they're up.

I was all over the dance floor that night going from group to people I know to group of people I know hanging out.

Yep, Josh is short...vertically challenged...not sure if they'd (Spundae/the club) let you up in the booth (not to sound ego-ish, it's just true). I go there A LOT and have gotten to know staff there a bit. Maybe in time you can...ya never know!!! I can't even go up there sometimes...really just depends on the mood of the peeps. I just went up there a couple of times to take pics real quick and during the last hour or so because my feet were hurting so much.

You gotta understand the crowds at 1015...they are not there for the scene, to pick up on girls/guys, etc...it's about the music there (when it comes to the main room)...that is why I totally love 1015. It's not the nicest clubs ever, nor the cleanest, but can have some of the best vibes around. With the asians, get comfortable to it...they love their trance, and there are a lot of asians in the bay area. I have no problem with it...don't care what race you are, as long as you are repsectful to the people around you on the dance floor, it's all good.

If you want a crowd with a lot of single women, try some club that plays SF house as its main feature. Or go to Ruby Skye where the crowd is nice and fake.

Nah, I'm not really there to pick up on girls either, I only went for the music, and thus had a good time. It was my friends though, whose main concern was with dancing with girls. They complained a lot about their inability to do so during the drive back as I sat in the car silently remembering all the tunes I was able to ID from the 5 hour set. I wished that there were more single girls available for dancing just for their case. I was content, they were not.

I mentioned about the large majority of Asians that night only because I get a little uncomfortable when I see one nationality of people dominating the crowd. Doesn't have to be Asians, could be Blacks, Whites, Mexicans, etc. I guess I'm just used to seeing variety. (Not trying to be racist here) I'm part Asian too, FYI, even if I don't look like it.

So anyways, guess I'll try to find you in the crowd again on April 2nd. Now that I have a better picture of what you look like, I might actually have sucdess this time. One can always hope. And I'll probably be going alone this time. I don't think my friends want to go again. Losers.

yea it sucks that it's hard to find friends who just enjoy edm for all that it is.

I go to Cal and I'd think that I'd find a larger amount of ppl who enjoy edm, seeing as how the university is so diverse, but it's not so. I've only found like less than 10 ppl who're interested in edm, half those ppl proly don't even kno who Tiesto is tho, let alone G&D.


oh well so i'll see you guys in a year at 1015
