Nice! I'd buy it just for the Adagio For Strings

Posted by djSlain on Mar-19-2004 00:37:

so he IS releasing Adagio. great news. Absolutely insane song. in fact, every version of Adagio is great. (ferry's is the best tho!)

Nyana's a great tune, but why we he put it on a new album after it already headlined another..

because is one mint tune, possibly his best production ever. it should definitely be on his album just like he did in Magik 7 with Flight 643, and then later he released the full version on In My Memory.

Posted by Wretched on Mar-19-2004 03:43:

Nyana was available unmixed, right?

Plus Magik 7 was live - Flight 643 needed a real release - Nyana's already received that.

actually there's no full version of Nyana yet, that's why it should be on his new album. i really hope it is there, what a TUNE...

Posted by DJ_Elyot on Mar-19-2004 04:21:

Nyana wasn't really that great of a track IMO... but then again I didn't like traffic much either. None of Tiesto's latest productions/remixes, Adagio excepted, have come close to his earlier works of genius (Suburban Train and remixes of Delerium - Silence and Goldenscan - Sunrise.) I would hope that Tiesto doesn't fill this CD with hardstyle filler tracks like he did on In My Memory with ones like Obsession, Lethal Industry, and Flight 643 (which are pretty much filler tracks IMO, much like Nyana and Traffic were.) I really hope there are some fresh, new tunes on this one.

And Tiesto did a song for a Coca Cola Commercial??? I must be living under a rock or something... *considers actually using the search button for once*

Is there any way to get the full track? I only have a crap-quality 30 second mp3 of the bit in the video...

And damn... tiesto gets uglier every time I see a pic of him...

wtf, 'Battleship Grey' and 'Close To You' are filler tracks, those you mentioned had proper releases as singles and were very succesfull.

release date: 5-16-04

I'm praying track number 2 from his Innercity set is on there

I was in fact disappointed with "In My Memory" because of the lack of quality trance tracks on there. Magik Journey and Suburban Train were the only ones that really stood out to me... probly cuz I prefer the atmospheric, melodic Tiesto tracks to the harder tracks with more techno-ish elements. Flight 643 for example... it pretty much has only one or two notes throughout the whole song... not what I would consider good melodic trance. This is probably more of a personal opinion, but I think if any good trance DJ put stuff like Flight 643, etc in their sets, fans would complain that the sets contained too much filler material. It's only accepted because it's Tiesto, and I think that's wrong... and the same thing can be said for Traffic, and many of Tiesto's other recent productions. So I just hope that Tiesto doesn't fill his new CD with stuff that belongs on a Techno CD.

BTW, I agree about 'Battleship Grey' and 'Close to You', but I'd rather have that stuff than crap like Flight 643 and Traffic. In fact, Battleship Grey was one of my favourites... :P

Posted by alffla on Mar-21-2004 05:48:

lol hm. i actually really like traffic and flight 643, but only when they're played live...just listening to them by themselves sounds like shit.

What about Kane - Rain Down On Me (Dj Tiesto Remix) or Goldenscan - Sunrise (DJ Tiesto Mix)
They seem pretty mellodic....

On the other hand, how many tracks do you know that are REALLY mellodic(or how you call them)????

Posted by DJ_Elyot on Mar-21-2004 17:39:

I just mean that they have a good chord progression and a complicated harmony... rather than Flight 643 and Traffic that each have about 2 notes and not much polyphony or harmonic complexity at all.

Goldenscan - Sunrise is probably my favourite Tiesto production of all time... it's an ingenious use of melody and counter-melody... and the progressions/build-ups are superb. I hope something like that will be on his new CD.

Eh...Techno doesn't belong on ISOS 4. If his new artist album is to reflect his recent productions and sets, Techno does belong. Or at least Tech-Trance.
