Need some help with genre.

Do you remember back in the day ... Mortal Kombat Soundtrack?

What genre of trance is that? I never hear tracks like those anymore, or i just cant find them. Does anyone know some tracks that are similar to the Mortal Kombat trance?

I don't think you could call it trance, although it must be said that it was great at the time.

hmm...yah i guess its definitely old school. Dont know why any Djs havent followed up on it, the tracks had major energy written all over them. If I can't find tracks like those, maybe you could help me find tracks along the lines of Project Medusa vs Exor - Moonshine (Megara vs Lee Remix) ... Martillo Vago - Por Que No (Plazmatek Remix) ... or even DJ Sammy - Heaven or Darude's Feel The Beat.

IMO, halycon on and on was the phattest track from the MK movie.
