Ever go by yourself?

yeah well i wanted to go to fleming this weekend but my friends all bailed i was thinkin it might be strange to go by myself and just dance around lol but i know people who have done that before have any of you?

you could always plan a ta meetup, then roll with those people?

I do it all the time, I just meet up with the peoples at the club.

yeah i would deff do that, sounds cool lol i dont know what any of u look like but im sure we could figure that out, but im not sure if im going or not but ill deff keep that in mind

Actually, the times I've gone to clubs by myself, completely alone, have been some of my best times. Easier to meet new people, and can have some pretty good thinking time by myself in a room with great music...

yeah thats a good point, plus sometimes your friends can get annoying after a while.. now that i think of it i usually get separted from my group for a lil bit anyway, and i dont mind. hahaha

My friends are nowhere near as hooked to the club scene as i am, i've had to go to over 5 shows without em so... i say go for it. Don't let them hold you back from your fun.

I always drive to DC by myself and NYC a few times. But its not that big of a deal when you meet up with friends and ta's.

haha yeah my friends arent nearly as hooked as i am either, i would love to go out like every weekend but i just started going out and i love it.. its a lot of fun and its a chance to let got and just forget about shit like school and work ahhh hate that stuff, haha

Man, that's one of the many beauties of messageboards: meeting people as hardcore as you are!! Yeah, you're going to have the drama, the people who disagree with you, the straight up assholes, and the wannabe board pimps. But boards also give you the chance to meet new friends with the same central love that you have. Your friends are merely missing out on what you already know. Two of my favorite club nights ever were by myself (S&D in Philly 2002, Tenagalia at vinyl 10/2001), and back in the glory days of clubplanet in 2000, I went to one of the first meetups by myself and I've kept in touch with about 90% of the people I met that night.

So in conclusion: Yes, go by yourself.

yeah thats deff cool its just that sometimes i get really paranoid like if im by myself i feel like im gonna get mugged or some shit like that because sometimes i see some really shady people at the clubs that look like if u give them the wrong look there gonna kick your ass for no reason.. but that wont stop me

I go by myself quite often. Most of my friends here aren't clubbers or aren't as into the scene. Toronto, it seems, everybody loves EDM. I'm looking forward to partying here though and meeting people who love to go out as much as I do. Hope to meet more of you

... NYC has it's bad apples but... i've never seen that look on anyones face at a club. Only muscle bound assholes that think they're the shit... Don't fear em man, just go on about havin fun and if you bump into em keep on dancing. Chances are thye bumped into you... I'm a nice guy to usually everyone i meet. Met this guy named billy a while ago at the free tiesto spin at the virgin mega and bought him a water then later on saw him again and his brother and i bout them a beer, even bought a beer for some random person then i saw them at arc for j00f a while back and got them some waters. Keep in mind how expensive waters are at clubs. Also PvD @ 2/27/04, i got an extra bottle of water for... any ta that wanted it and the one who ended up snagging it was jay . But... regardless of my height if some shit pops off in the muvafucka i flare up like a little tazmanian devil and start throwin dem bows meng.
LinX, don't worry man meet up with some TA's they're all cool peeps. I haven't spoken to many only... Jay, Chris, Albert and... John... But i have met a couple and for the duration of our conversation... generally it lasts about 3.6 seconds they've been nice. Indy, Highmay, Bri, and that's about it... anyways i hope to be seeing you at partys man

agree 100% with you 80% i go alone...going solo to flemming and most likely to G&D AND HOWELLS TOO... never have taken any pills or anything like that...I just go for the muzik.

Ahhhhh, a fellow music lover. It sucks because i love my friends to death and i just wish that they could comprehend why i love the music sooooo much. I wish they could feel the same way i feel when someone drops a great track that just makes me believe i'm somewhere nice.... (IE : Super 8 - Alba. Gave this one because i'm currently listening to it and i believe it's a great track.)
Fact is that they can't and i can't force em... Just wish that i kinda had a close friend to love it as much as i do that way when some big show was coming up they'd stop by at my place and we'd enjoy the train/bus/cab ride just thinking of how insane we're going to be once we get inside. I've had to tell my friends several times to buy their tickets ahead of time and they never listened to me and the most recent situation for PvD they had to wait for me for 6+ hours because the roxy was officially booked it it's limit... I felt bad but i told them ahead of time that it was probably gonna be sold out and it was my b-day so i wanted to have a great time... and that i did thanks to some friends i encountered once i got into pvd. Jay, Chris, Alber, ...... Indy.....
Also, dunno if it's just me or do you find yourelf leaving earlier whenever you do go with your friends. Last time PvD came in November i got into the club and left 2 and a half hours later .
So hey, if there's any peeps out there looking for someone that's gonna club as much as they do and go to as many events as they will and lives in the bronx... stop by my place before a show we'll have some beers and then just jump up on the cab and out we go !

Point 2 hit the pot, like last S&D at Crobar, I had to leave around 5:30 cuz my friends said they were so tired and I was just all hype up with all the good tracks Sasha thrown...

Well I assure you that I'm a little more interesting than a 3 second convos, my friend ...It just takes longer to get to know some than others..some people aren't as open because of various reasons. The key....the key....::dramatic pause, looks out towards horizen::...are meetups outside the club...

whatever...it's human nature...now if you don't mind, i need to buy one of those huge knives that Stallone touts around in Rambo and go to my teachers' office hours...

I go out solo all the time and generally bump into people in the clubs.

No issues going solo! It's tons of fun.

Very well Put. But I'm usually in the same boat. My friends and I make plans and then something pops up sometimes or someone just doesn't feel like going anymore and I wind up not doing anything. I'm def down with going to a club and meeting up with people, but as mentioned before, if you don't know what people look like, how do expect to meet up with them. Also, my own personal feelings, I'm actually a shy person and when I see someone I think I know , I won't approach them because I'm not sure and don't want to bother anyone. But I'm always looking to meet new people and hang out and have a good time.
