Hey guys, got a lot of views, but no replies yet. This remix ain't that bad, is it?

I'd really like to know what you think of it, because I didn't do many remixes yet, so I can improve my remixing...

Anything... I appreciate it.

Tnx, cheers!

Okay, the very first thing I notice is the overusage of a wrong type of reverb. The whole tune sounds like it was recorded in an empty hall. The second thing are the percs. While the initial bongo/whatever-loop is good the hihats are lacking which make the track drag somewhat. I don't like the beat very much either...

That being said, I do like your synths, the piano like one in particular. This mix doesn't really bring anything new to the table though... but seeing you haven't done too many remixes it's a very good effort.

Hi Jay, long time no listen to something from you. Listening now mate.

Like the overall free vibe going on. Agree about the reverb and the hihat now that it's mentioned.

Like the build you've got going on in the tune - this is a big step up from your last stuff - the bassdrum is much much MUCH better than anything you've done that I've heard mate -well done on that one!

Like this piano stuff.

Good emulation of the original in the build.

Your FX work is nice.

That reverb definitely sticks out like a sore thumb tho.

I like this Mr Jay, it's a good remix. Like the original bits you've put in. Not a million miles from the original and doesn't beat it I'm afraid but man, it's encouraging to hear your progress!

All the best!

Very nice remix, although i havent heard the original yet ?!
anyways i like the bass, and synths and the background noise that comes in at 3:24 or something, my kind of trance, very soothing
just one suggestion, make the kick a little louder thats all , other than that its really fine
keep up the good work

PS: putting in favorites folder

Guys, thanks for reviewing the remix!

To Mr. Mystery:
A review from you means a lot, thanks man! These are comments I can use! I agree about the reverb, you can hear them, among others, on the bongo's, right? There is an ugly sort of high mud and indeed it's all an empty hall. I guess this use of reverb (just ugly fruity reverb ) needs to be spanked out of me.

BassAngel, thanks again mate for the review! Your ears do us a lot of favor. And we should exchange bassdrums once more LOL, I have some new for you.

To Sunquest:
Thanks, honoured to be in your favorites! The original is a few levels higher, I dont get near. I noticed that Echano (Mart) took the track offline, probably sending it out or so....?? When you send him a nice pm he may send you a clip?

Cheers guys!

Nothing wrong with using a lot of reverb, just don't use the wrong kind

I took it offline when it started getting 'released' by a different ripping group every week. Vimana - Flying to Stay Alive, anyone?

I like this remix JayM, it's very pleasant. Thanks for the accolade also! Did you get hold of a MIDI file or did you find the notes/chords yourself?

You're welcome

I heared the ripping story indeed. Lame. There are still people trying to get hold of the original just to hear good free music and not for ripping. Your talent is acknowledged, no doubt.

Glad you liked it. Found chords and notes by myself. Could've done it easier, by just asking for a midi, but I had fun making it over, and it didn't took long at all. However when i thought i had almost finished the track, i noticed a wrong note, and that took me longer to change because of the samples I made, because of my too slow P4 2.6ghz running too many VST's...

Anyways thanks, lad.

Hello!

Actuallly sounds a lot more chilled than the original but still beautiful. I think there's too much paning on the bongos (that would sound great if they weren't on 100% of the song). This would be a great b-side if the tune ever had a release.
