My new babies

Thank you tax return!!

New vestax mixer, M3Ds (new to me, slightly used for two other people )

I also picked up 13 new records last week...

It's not set up fully yet - the bottom part is going to be made into 13" wide bins for my records. I don't like shelving them...






With my decks, the guy gave me 3 needles and also two flight cases! (shown below) How sweet is that!!



New equipment = new mix comin soon! A couple, actually. One funky and one chill.

ok....why aren't my pics showing up at all? they showed up in the preview!

that cam will run me a cool $1400 but let's see what kind of deals and crap I can get.. Its either that one or the EOS-300D I dunno which one to choose =\ there both about the same price.

Ohh i know Malek, I'm still weighing the pro's and cons, i'm actually leaning towards the 300D, its just a matter of wether I want to spend that extra couple hundred on getting lens's and such..

well, the 300D comes with a decent lense at 1400$. And i think you'll be more than satisfied with it.

Keeping in mind that you take lots of pictures in clubs: pictures with noise becomes a major annoyance (including myself) in low light coniditions.

You will barely notice any noise with the 300D because it has a large CCD compared to the tiny CCD in the S1. This alone should convince you about which one to get.

Granted tho, that the S1 pro is suited for people that don't need the hassle of fine tuning anything and just point and shoot.

Here's an example with a 20 seconds shutter opening in the night, try finding noise (grains) in that 300D shot

Beh - let me know which digital SLR you're gonna get - becuase I want a digital SLR and maybe we can get a deal if we both get one.

i just had to re-install a mirror of my OS from 1 week ago. after you pm'd me - my system crashed - and then would only reboot.

will do RJ, i'm gearing up towards the 300D.. Malek your absoloutly right, I already have a Point and shoot digicam no need to get a point and shoot "prosumer" cam. I think after a year of fiddleing and learning I should step up to the real DSLR world.

Besides, low noise is of the utmost importance!! nice shot by the way

oh I wish it was mine I wish I had a 300D...

i have a Sony F717... and the noise is #_(*%&#_ getting on my nerves big time!

If you have the patience to wait, the Nikon D70 is around the corner and should bring both prices down (both 300D and D70).

The D70 is superior in many aspects, but the thing that intrests me the most is its ability to continuosly shoot pictures without stopping. How about 24 hi res shots in 8 secs?!? (3fps!)

I currently have an F80 - so obviously the D70/D100 would be my preference (so I can use all my nikkor lenses).

But - lets see what type of deal we can get.

SLR is the way to go. My F80 has served me VERY well.

Good to know about this.. I've only been looking at cams that have already been released, I just have a Canon bias right now heh but i'm open minded will definitely check out the D70 as well. Nikon makes great cams as well. I won't be able to get any cam till next month anyway.

RJ yes I think we should definitly go shopping together see what kind of deals we can run up.

Mate. The D70 is already available (pre-order 3 day wait). It runs about $1500 (just for the body).

The D100 runs about $2000.
