Basic Implant - Revenge Of The 202 (Toneman)

am rather surprised this bangin track wasn't yet mentioned...the a side features Revenge Of The 202, a simply wicked dark, bangin Techno tune, even sounds evil, imo! 9.5/10
i've likewise heard the 2nd track on the flipside, Affiliate, which is deep ...maybe could go well with Bass Shuttle 9/10

the first track on flipside, Dumb, i haven't heard yet...any comments?

Yeah the tune is preety good and dark but I wouldn't say bangin, also it's a bit repetitive and a bit boring, not to say that I think Techno is like this in general. But the slow buildup with the noise in the background has some nice evilness to it.

No, with techno a DJ actually has to work to make it sound interesting, as opposed to trance, where buildups and breakdown do most of the work.

As for the tune: I love it, bought it a week ago or so. The A-side is a good tune to tear the roof off at the end of a set, but I bought it for Affiliate, which is one of my favourite tracks at the moment.. nice and deep, yet still having enough drive to keep you from falling asleep
