Audio schools in New York area?

I've been attending the University of Connecticut for two years now (I am ending my sophomore year this spring). Anyway, I'm 20 years old and I have always felt as if I was being forced into going to school. My whole life I've hated regular academics, etc. I was considering going to art school for graphic design since that is one of my true loves, other than music. Which brings up this thread ...

Are there any good audio production schools in the New York area? The east coast? All I know of are IAR in NYC and the Art Institute of New England (they have a program for audio production). Basically, I want to just get into audio production somehow. Yeah, I could teach myself, but I'd rather goto school for it and prove myself that way.

Maybe it's a dumb idea, I'd hope not. I know I want to go into some field which involves music / audio.

Hrm.

How much does SSR cost per year? It looks rather interesting. Tough to get into?

Hmm... housing?

I'm extremely interested, I should email them.
