I read the story...some dj in Winnipeg was found mummified in a crack between an exterior and interior wall in the basement of a club. No one knows how or why he ended up between the walls. Might have tried to grab something or tried to squeeze through and got stuck. He was missing for like a year or so. They finally found him when a neighbor repeatedly complained about the stench. He wasn't discovered previously as most people passed off the stench as "bar smell".

Very weird way to die indeed.

my unlce(from winnipeg) tells me that the newspapers didnt report(or didnt know) some of the story, and that it was likely that the guy was put there not of his own will. There was no evidence to prove it, but the club, the owners, the patrons and all that sort of stuff led my unlce(who would be in the know for this kind of stuff) to believe that he was the victim of criminal activity, but from who or for what isnt clear.

What happened to a good old bullet in the temple....putting someone in a confined space and leaving them to die is just plain cruel. Hmmm...I wonder if there is a law against that.....putting people in small spaces they can't get out of....it wouldn't technically be unlawful confinement. I guess they would have to prove that it was your intent to murder someone by doing so.

First of all Winnipeg isn't a small city when compared with your city, Calgary, and Regina. Regina is about 1/4 of the size of Winnipeg and Winnipeg is about 4/5ths the size of Calgary. Anyway, enough of that.

I, unfortunately reside in this shithole called Winnipeg. I can't wait til next April when I will be done university and will be heading to Calgary where there are real headliners.

As for the Dj found in the wall, his dj name was Phonosys. I never ever heard that there was a possibility of criminal activity. Is your uncle a pig or wtf? Anyway, that's really fucked if someone put him there or something.

About a month ago the bouncers at a club called The Beach killed some guy from their power trip. I was there that night and was talking to the deceased's mother-in-law. She was crying and told me that the paramedics were trying to revive him. I did not see the beating but I know that most bouncers are fucking piece of shit power trip fiends.

In the chillout forum once, I heard another Winnipeg horror story. A guy got drunk and got in a fight with the bouncers at some top40 club; he threw the first punch but the bouncers beat him within an inch of his life, they actually fucking videotaped this. Then the manager came out and kicked the victim in the head off-camera. The guy probably wouldn't have survived if he'd tried to fight back.

After reading this thread, I can promise that I won't be clubbing in Winnipeg anytime soon...
