the company i work for (TD) is also supporting the product..
isn't this the first public application of "RFID" technology in TO or something .. ?

Silly people - bashing it before you look at it completely to realize it's -real- value.
The real value of Dexit is the "special offers" that the merchants provide.
Across from my work is a place called "pumpernickles". If you pay with Dexit you can get a montreal smoke meat sandwitch with soup of your choice for $5.
Cost without Dexit, $4.50 for the sandwitch, $2.50 for the soup.
Every merchant has a special Dexit offer. McDonalds near my work gives you "buy 1 get 1 free" on sandwitches, etc.
So, I throw $100 on my keyfob - which costs me $1.50. I have lunch ONCE at pumpernickles and I'm already in the money.
I figure I probably save $1 to $2 per day on lunches with Dexit. 20 lunches per month - $40 savings / month, all for a $1.50 cost.
I'll gladly use the thing to save $500 / year on my lunches. And being right downtown I have large number of options available for feeding.
Petty their hating on Dexit....
I think dexit is a good idea
but you can use it at tim hortons and other places u can't use debit....... why am i shamelessly plugging the company i work for??
P.s. www.dexit.com dexit, instead of cash
Got a little love a couple replies up
P.s. Rabitjoker, i'll see what i can do about topping up your account
.... how ironic that i love your radio station and listen to it all day while i program the machine you love using...hmmm
McDonalds promotion is over though
There aren't any Dexit venues where I am (Markham). Also, when im at school, i don't buy lunch.

I don't think I would find the benefit in it. Perhaps I would if I really tried, but I don't want to (lazy) and that's worth forfeiting any concrete savings I might get.

Theres dexit all over GBC as well as the building i work for.. I was lookin into getting one, but havent yet

| Originally posted by Pettiscool I warned them about that... the marketing people are RETARDS. its costs the company like 20 bucks eventually for every free 5 buck tag they put out too. |
