Is Tiesto allowed to do this......
I have ripped a few DJ Tiesto sets online lately , and not so long ago whatch his live gatecrasher set on tv, i reconised tiesto had ripped a few of the mixes from previous sets again , in other words the same mixes from other sets, Is it just me or is this allowed, i know judge jules wouldent do this , and if i was on like 5,000 a set , i would certainly not repaeat the same mix from a previous set. Has any-body else reconised this, or does any-one have any thoughts on this, I still Think Tiesto is the best in world , But just a little puzzled about this ..... Burnham
are you sure mate, i mean, i'm not doubting you completely but i do find that very hard to believe, have you got any proof, such as two livesets with the same mix on? maybe he is sooooo good, that he is able to perform the same identical mix at two different venues? just a thought, you know, djs do find two tunes that blend together perfectly and tend to mix these two tunes many times, they can get away with it because 99% of the crowd they are playing to will be different from the previous one
RR
I wouldn't see why he wouldn't be able to do that if that's what he wants to do, I mean look @ them pop singers...they don't actually sing during their concerts. Most lipsync, and they still get huge ass crowds and it's legal (*NSuck is in town here 2night "singing" infront of 45,000 people).
But I hope this is not where things headed though...premixed livesets, that would suck.
the same is @ PVD casino ( 17 11 00 ) & Innercity ( 30 11 00 )
If you found two records that mixed together perfectly (not just the beats, but the melody, timing, ambiance, etc etc) would you not do this mix a couple of times??? Also, the DJ's are playing for the crowd, they are not playing for home listeners that can download all their sets.
BTW, you saw a set of his on TV?!?!?!?!?!?!? Dam you!!!! argh, i hate america!
My thoughts exactly

Whatever the crowd wants, tiesto delivers...simple as that.
and what works for him.. works for me.
i wouldnt be surprised
there are a few PVD sets where he plays the same tracks in sucession, and i think JJ has too
i mean, if ure playing as much as some of these guys ure hardly gunna rember wot 2 trakc su played together 2 weeks and 10gigs earlier
every DJ does this and i think it will continue to happen. it doesnt really matter to me either... if a mix soundz good then yeah the DJ is gunna do that again for a different crowd.
Tiesto is arguably the best there is at his job, and that remains true even if he does the same mix a few times
tiesto
yeah, i think we settles it, tiesto is the daddy and repeating a mix is cool ( as long as its sweet) which it always is any-ways....respect tiesto, hes the best at his job in the world... case settled ?
it's simple. there aren't so many great tracks produced anymore so he has to play the same tracks at different gigs. he always did, and if you check out beam.to/djsets, where you can find a lot tracklistings, you will see every dj does play the same tracks, but in a different order most of the time.
in trance we trust

Im not quite sure if i believe that.. tiesto ripped stuff from his previous sets..
I do know that (i think marco V) did a pre mixed tape on sensation... that was soooooo lame..
I also think he got quite allot of hatemail (at least 1 from me)
I dont think and hope trance aint going into the pop (pre mixed/non live) style..

Guys you gotta understand that DJ find out how to mix tracks by himself and if he did it for several times the same way maybe its his style of mixing ?
Im confused hearing about pre recorded tape on Sensation, is it true, Henkie henk?
Just listen to Marco V @ Massive and Marco V @ Qontact. It's almost the same. You just listen to the live sets. But when you whitness it in real live, you don't care. Sure they play the same songs over and over. What did you expact, that they have new quality records every single week. No, thats not how it works my friend.

total agree
K A R T , Just completly answered my question, jules recieves 250 - 300 records a week, so pklease dont say theres not one good record amongst them.......wahhhh ..... Greetz
how would you guys know? do you receive promos? it is very likely that it takes 500 records to find a decent one or two. most of the records that ARE released these days are total crap - imagine what the promos are like. so many times i have to sift through hundreds of records in the local shop to find one thats half decent. they all sound the same - cheesy and predictable.
imagine what the world would be like if the majority of promos were quality though... a dj could play a completely different set every week - perhaps every night! makes you wonder hey

you misread what i said. no i dont think top producers are going to send cheesy promos - amateur producers trying to make it big are and there are a lot more of these than top producers, who can only make a certain amount of tracks in a certain amount of time.
you are from holland so there might be a language misunderstanding here, but i wasnt implying that you said all promos were quality i was just entertaining the thought of it.
okay no problem dude
