on the low end the after parties will run you 20 quid. there's a group thats been doing the same goa party a few years running. it's by far the best imo. and probably the only if you're looking for trance.
Not a bad idea to get your room reserved. there are more than a few hostels downtown but make sure they don't lock their doors after a certain time. I remember passing piles of kids who spent the early morning sleeping on the sidewalk.
ditto on ryan air. they've been by far the cheapest when I've gone UK to germany.
check out http://www.hostelberlin.com/

Ok so the parties are roughly 20 quid into ye..Like for example the LOVE FROM ABOVE on the friday night with PVD and co..What club is that in? capacity of it? Would I need to book a ticket in advance for that if so? What time does the actual love parade street party on the saturday stop at that night?? Do people then resort to a host of different clubnights on in the various nightclubs then?? So its recommending that myself and some friends stay in a hostel then ye ?
dood, you need to read to check out those links. but hey, lets play travel agent for a few...

the flyer isn't up yet but PVD has confirmed. keep checking the site. it'll list a few different places to buy your tix online. yes buy them in advance, they're usually cheaper anyway.
looks like they're expecting 6000+. should be a blast.
the parade runs 2pm to 11ish. the party moves to the clubs after that. I've actually skipped the parade altogether a couple times.
stay at a hostel if you want to save money. personally I'm usually dying for a hot shower(preferably one inside my room, not at the end of the hall with five other people in it, but hey, to each his own) and some privacy if I get lucky. It may make sense to split a hotel room four ways instead of paying per person at the hostel.
have fun, I'm jealous. ;)
mate, you need to get into the UK Forum!! Many of us have the experience of travelling to Germany for clubbing and the Love Parade, including myself
Heard this party is too commercial these days
i'll be there, so will a stack of AUTA, TOTA, NYTA, UKTA, IRTA, GTA.. and more!
we're actually planning a massive meetup that weekend. stay tuned

Berlin Looks Set to Pull Plug on Techno Love Parade
By David Crossland
BERLIN (Reuters) - Berlin looks set to pull the plug on the Love Parade after organizers said on Wednesday they had failed to secure funding for the summer festival that used to attract over a million gyrating techno fans.
The Parade, which became a symbol for Berlin's hipness during the 1990s, has waned in recent years, narrowly avoiding financial collapse and drawing smaller crowds as techno music has lost its trendsetting appeal and entered mainstream culture.
Its decline has coincided with a steady gentrification of the city. Gleaming modern buildings have been completed in its center and many of the eastern districts once fashionable for their dilapidation have been refurbished for yuppie families.
"It is with great regret that we have to announce there definitely won't be a Love Parade in Berlin this year," organizer Loveparade Berlin GmbH said in a statement.
Many of its usual sponsors had been hit by the economic downturn in recent years, and talks with the cash-strapped city had not produced a financing deal, with just three months to go before the festival was due to take place, it said.
Berlin's city-owned trade fair company backed the Love Parade in 2003 and made a loss of $615,900 as a result.
Some 750,000 ravers came to the Love Parade last July, half the 1.5 million the festival attracted at the height of its popularity in the late 1990s.
The Love Parade started making losses after it lost its status as a demonstration in 2001, which forced it to pay for a host of services which the city had provided free of charge before, such as blocking off roads and relocating bus stops.
A Berlin city spokesman held out hope of a reprieve, saying more talks were scheduled between the city's economy department and the organizers.
The Parade first took place in 1989, four months before the fall of the Berlin Wall when DJ "Dr Motte" staged what he called a "House Music Demonstration" in West Berlin for tolerance, respect and international understanding.
What started with one truck fitted with turntables and loudspeakers spiralled into an annual music event that drew techno fans from around Europe to crowd around up to 50 trucks that blared out deafening rhythms.
The Love Parade lives on elsewhere. It has been staged in Austria, Britain, Israel and South Africa. Mexico City held one in March and San Francisco and Tel Aviv plan Love Parades this year.

Bad news for all music lovers.
As I said in the music forum on this topic...
If they pull the plug, all invovled should go and demonstrate for love and global unity...
Just take back our cause and do it again...
The Demonstration for Love and Global Unity (in the spirit of the oroginal Love Parade)
No Love Parade this year...

Wanna bet even if LP is REALLY not happening, thousands of people will form a crowd at the Siegessaule and start partying.
Some idiots will bring a soundsystem and streetrave is born.
