IGNITION: Sat Apr 10: DEEPSKY / ANDY HUGHES @ Level 3 Atlanta

MaddHatterRadio and Daddy D @ Level 3 Nightclub Present:

****IGNITION****
The new Saturday night standard @ Level 3 w/ International, National, and regional dance music headliners every Saturday Night!!

DEEPSKY (Kinetic, L.A)

Hailing from Los Angeles, Deepsky (Scott Giaquinta and Jason Blum) has produced world-class music that has rocked dance floors and stunned armchair listeners alike for more than 10 years. The duo is considered by many as the torchbearers of American progressive music, performing live shows and DJ sets across the nation and beyond for more than seven years. With Scott skillfully manipulating effects and synthesizers and Jason relentlessly pounding away on electronic percussion, Deepskys high-energy live shows have become the stuff of legend, regularly drawing fans from hundreds of miles around. In smaller venues, the duo showcase their skills as highly proficient DJs, playing extended tag-team sets of brand new Deepsky productions and fresh releases from around the globe.

Their latest album, In Silico, is an eclectic journey featuring driving rhythms, intricate melodies, and meticulous attention to detailall qualities that have been hallmarks of Deepsky recordings throughout their 10-year career. The critically acclaimed album drew rave reviews from Mixer, URB, Rolling Stone.com, Time Out New York, and other highly regarded media outlets. Highlights from In Silico include the slamming first single, Jareths Church; View from a Stairway, a beautiful work melding electronic beats with classical guitar; Mansion World, a reworking of the single by Elijah Blues band Deadsy; and Three Sheets to the Wind, on which label-mate Dave Ralph lends a hand at production.

With work appearing on three albums, numerous compilation and mix CDs, and more than 40 twelve-inch singles, its no surprise that industry heavyweights such as Madonna, David Bowie, Curve, BT, Delerium, Carl Cox, and more have turned to Deepsky for production assistance and remix work.

Deepsky are hard at work in their Los Angeles studio, continuing work on remixes and new original music as well as producing their own monthly radio show for XM Radio (XM80 - The Move). The coming year promises to be a remarkable era for electronic music as Deepsky moves boldly ahead and further defines the progressive American sound.

Please welcome back to Atlanta Deepsky for a storming Dj set!

ANDY HUGHES (Bliss)

Florida-based DJ/producer Andy Hughes, has completed years of building energetic house music sets for dance floors across America, the UK, and Ibiza. His latest release, Progressive House Elements, released on Neurodisc and distributed throughout the US by Capitol Records, is a collection of bass-driven tracks that combine to create an aura of merging the dancefloor with the music. This release, in a series of 3 releases, has proven to be a strong-selling disc for a somewhat underground label, showcasing the depth of talent from Hughes, who has been a mainstay in the Florida scene for many, many years.
With a ton of releases and remixes under his belt , it should come as no surprise that Hughes is continually traveling to bring his pumping brand of house music to cities World Wide. Please welcome Andy back to Level 3 for an encore performance.

With opening Dj...

COREY VON WATERS(MaddHatterRadio, Abstract Logic)

Bringing his signature blend of dirty house and breaks mixed with a little progressive, Corey is sure to get into your mind and move your feet on thisspecial night. As well as being a resident of Maddhatterradio, he is also co-founder of Abstract Logic Recordings. ALR has been responsible for hosting some great shows in 2003 and early 2004 and they aren't looking to let up anytime soon. After his blazing opening performance at the Ministry of Sound Party with John Creamer, Stephane K and Gene
